Sages of NSC,

In about 2002 a mate of mine found an unmarked tape in a car he’d bought. This tape contained the music of a German rock band. Neither of us spoke German but we would sing along phonetically, and I’ve had this song in my head on and off since then. If it happened now I would Shazam it.

This is probably impossible, but I would like the help of NSC community in finding this song.

Clues:
They sounded a bit like a German Oasis.
The chorus went C G Am F (i.e. very identifiable and obvious chords) in 4/4.
The end of each line in the chorus either was ‘bitte’ or a rhyme thereof.

Danke schoen in advance.

Doesnt the "new" Shazam accept you singing the tune ? I know there's one app that does - is it "Soundhound"?
Good luck anyway

Can you write the words phonetically, I may be able to help?

Something like:

"Himmminon bitte
Himmminon bitte
A simminon mitte
anja boisin FITTER"

Thanks for all the suggestions. Closest so far is probably Bonfire, but I don't think it's them.

It's definitely not Heino, but he seems like a decent sort. Looks like a Gerry Anderson puppet of Andy Warhol.

Can? Neu? Faust? Tangerine Dream? None of them sound like Oasis, mind. That's largely exhausted my krautrock knowledge.
