Bates or no Bates, anyone who thinks that Leeds are not a massive club is kidding themselves. I'm not saying I think Poyet would go but I sure he would want to talk to Bates, see what he has to say.

:lolol: Good joke.

Hasn't Poyet just signed a 5 year contract for us? Why on earth would he give up that for a club who are 2 points above us and have nothing better to offer? Poyet isn't gonna be able to spend at Leeds with that twat Bates still there. Gus is creating an identity here, yeah we're on a bad run but every manager goes on one of them and Poyet isn't the type to run when it gets tough.

Mind you, it has to be said if Poyet acted like he does up there, he would soon know what upsetting fans is all about. I for one don't think he could hack the Leeds fans.

We all know contracts anit worth a wank these days.....For the record I dont think Poyet will be leaving any time soon, but this is football stranger things have happened in the past.

Leeds was hardly a happy place for him last time - seem to recall they were relegated to L1

Quite the opposite, Poyet was seen by many fans as the brains behind the Poyet/Wise combo that almost turned over a 15point deduction to reach the play offs. It was when Poyet left that that got worse. He is held in very high regard at Elland Road.

Wishful thinking at "dirty Leeds" why would Gus leave to go to a smaller club with no future?

HAHAHAH please tell me you're joking? You think your a bigger club than Leeds? You're one of the smallest in the division, and some of your own fans have admitted that

He has always said he would only leave if a massive opportunity came along. Don't see how Leeds fits that description in any way.

We'll never be bigger than Leeds but we're nowhere near being one of the 'smallest in the division' and have a higher city population than Southampton, not to mention our outlying towns and general catchment area, and so maximising our supporter base potential would see us leapfrogging your arrogant selves.

I think you will find most Albion fans would admit we ARE one of the smaller clubs in this division. Not in the same League as Leeds or for what it is worth not as big as Southampton but at the moment the Club are an attractive ongoing project starting from a blank canvass. Although we are one of the smaller clubs we can attract around 20k for home games at the moment, which is a good average for this division.
The thing is Brighton and Hove Albion is Gus's baby, he has had a lot of input to this embryonic "new" club. Its support would only increase if he brings success to it and he knows it. It would have to be a massive club to prize him away from his project........Leeds aint massive. A bigger club....Spurs, Chelsea ect would not take the gamble on Gus..............yet!

Edit* Leeds could become a massive club......likewise Brighton could become a big club!:bhasign:
