Nearly lost us the game. I know he said when he arrived if there was a chance to win a game then he would make attacking subs but today he nearly lost us the game. After Cox and Murray came on for El-Abd and Navarro we were patheticly hopeless. Caused Crofts to get sent off because there were no midfield and they kept coming straight through the middle. Also the defense were all over the shop. Questions to be asked about his tactical nouse surely

I thought we came to life for the for 5 minutes after the subs but obviously we had to go a bit more defensive due to the sending off.

TCB - calling Poyet an idiot? f*** you

Disagree we had no control over the centre of midfield anyway so 3 up top and play it long seemed like a good plan. Unfortunately with Crofts going off we were always going to struggle. Can't blame him for wanting to win the game. If we were playing a good team we would have been losing by the time he made the changes anyway.

Now I am no fan of Navarro -he is too slow and contributes little however I did think he was slightly better than his usual shit and when he is the only recognised midfielder with crofts and is taken off, you have to worry

i agree - we looked more of a threat with three up front. what raped us was the period of pointless fouls we went through which culminated in crofts getting sent off. from there, we were f***ed as we had no central midfielders on the pitch and three strikers. asking hart to go on and do a job in the middle of the park was always going to be risky, but when you find yourself in that sort position you ask the most experienced option available to you to go and do a job and use their experience to solid things up - unfortunately, all hart seemed to want to do was commit even more fouls as his first few contributions on the pitch

if crofts had have managed to stay on the pitch we could have gone on to win that game with three up top - it was an attacking change that was needed

the one gripe i did have with poyet today was mcnulty left midfield - he cant get past a man, so when you are playing at home against a team that is going to be more defence-minded, he is less effective than away when he doubles up as cover for el abd.

There was a big hole in the middle of the team after the subs expecially. Things had to change though, as we were making so little, only throwing together a slightly classy move once or twice. Slippery out there though, so a tough day. You could see we missed the class and ball-control of Dicker. Gladly we had the tight skills and kill-at-will wild slides of Dickinson to watch.
I suppose we need to buy some new subs to bring on at such times. Or sign an actual left-back who could allow McNulty to weave luxuriouslt if he was prodded into wide-left again.

disagree scotty Mac, thought Jimmy Mac did well in midfield and as a result of the subs he had to go back to left back

put some good crosses in granted - but he also gave away possession on a frequent basis, and when he was running one-on-one with a full back he just couldnt get past him, resulting in having to cut back. that in turn breaks down the momentum of the move, allows the opposition to organise defensively and thus makes it harder to break them down

mcnulty wide left away from home is fine is we will find ourselves under far more pressure as the home team attacks, and he can help out el abd defensively and whip in balls from deep. at home he should be playing as an attacking left back, as then his contributions going forward are more likely to come on the overlap with the left winger from which he can get a first time ball over, rather than having to attempt to get past the full back himself

Thought that Jimmy Mac was awful at left midfield didnt win a tackle was compeletly lost position wise and was glad to see him pushed back to left back. As far as the substitutions went I think they would have proved succesful if Croft hadnt been sent off by their player conning the ref.

wrong manager appointed again im afraid, what the club needs is new ground, clearout of useless players, new quality players brought in... ... new top named manager, new stewards, new caterers ... and cheaper prices... all that = a club to be proud of... im afraid if brighton carnt beat dire teams like orient at home then what chance for the future. it really is desp times for the albion at the moment

I don't think the subs were that bad, just Crofts sending off f***ed it up. At least we went for it.

Shows how good Dicker is, he was really missed in the middle today, Navarro was yet again masterful with his impersonation of a 'lump of lard'. Man of the match before he was subbed was El-Abd

Poyet, like Slade and Adams before him, doesn't seem to know what the f**k he's doing. I really do despair.
