As some people with genuine sources have said, we are looking at a better deal or a loan to buy - no real news here!

Am I the only looking at this as a 'mountain out of a molehill' thing? The article says gus was asked if he would consider a loan, he said he would. It seems to me a, perhaps throwaway, hypothetical has been made the focal point of a sensationalised story.

Essentially it's nothing new, theree are on-going negotiations to buy. Gus has a plan B of a loan, but thinks a deal can be reached.

Absolutely not. Id keep going and going with Kaz. Hes essential to our plans this season.

You just dont give up on quality players until its clear there is no solution, escpecially ones you know want to come here.

You dont learn do you, from all the shit that happened last week on this forum, you CANNOT simply make those comments with out any back up based upon the TRUTH. You might just be some 16 year old kid skiving from school trying to look like your in the know. You may also be someone in the no, either way, f***ing tell us what you know based upon fact or go back to school.

I think you're right. Gus was asked a question so gave an honest answer. I am sad to see that he hasn't used the word 'complicated' though. 'Negotiations' seems to be his new favourite.

I cant see why Newcastle would want to loan him to us though? He's only got a year left on his contract, surely they want to either keep him and give him a chance, or offload him now before he is out of contract. I know he's under 24 so it wouldn't be a Bosman, but I wouldn't have thought the compensation would be anything like what they can get for selling him now?

I still think this will happen, it's a shame the news about him having a medical etc broke as people wouldn't be getting so worried about it if it hadn't been mentioned yet.

Brian Owen has just tweeted

As negotiations for lualua continue, our top source in NE still expects the player to end up at #bhafc - and he's always got it right so far

so stop panicing and enjoy the sunshine :)

Make up your mind!

In all seriousness, I expect KLL's injury is holding things up. We want to be absolutely sure that he is free of any problems, whilst probably trying to drive the price down to minimise loss if the problem flares up again, whilst Newcastle are probably holding out for the highest fee possible. Nothing to see here, really, just standard negotiations.

I'm sure we are looking elsewhere for more players as well as negotiating with Newcastle
