If they watched last night's performance I'm surprised it's not 500/1.

Whoever follows David Moyes at Everton has got a daunting task on their hands. Overachieved for years. If he thinks the budget here is bad, he certainly won't like Goodison Park. I imagine he would take it though if offered. Might even do us a favour if he's unhappy here as there's no way we want to waste money on ending his contract.

Have we not learned form the last time we had a dodgy result and Poyet made some stupid comments? People wanted him gone then and then a of a sudden we stormed to 4th place.

Gus needs to sit down with Bloom and decide what the best course of action is for the club moving forward, for both parties. And part of that action should be Bloom pledging a decent budget for next year, in return for a number of things, one of them being a commitment from Poyet to think twice before he answers journalist's questions, especially in the heat of the moment after we've just lost out on promotion to our rivals. I would have thought that would be a better course of action than pushing out the most influential manager we've ever had, just because he's a bit of a hothead.

We desperately needed Lloyd Owusu there last night to raise the roof. Ulloa would have benefited enormously.

How could Everton be described as over achieved. They've achieved with a very very good manager.

Incidently they've played more games in the top flight than any other and number three in terms of consecutive seasons.

If you mean "overachieved" in the sense of performing beyond his and the squad's abilities through luck then nothing is further from the truth. He was at Everton for 11 seasons (I think) and improved that team in every way. OK, he did not win any trophies nor did he make them top 4 but he has made them a more consistent and potent force than Liverpool, Newcastle and their contemporaries of 10 years ago.

David Moyes is exactly the sort of manager you need nowadays. Astute signings, man management, prudent with money, humility and diplomacy are attributes that are far more valuable to the long term future of a club than any quick fire cash injections and rapid management change. Everton's position is not luck - it's a result of sound and long term commitment by club and manager.

Not a hope in hell of him going to Everton. Anyone putting money on it is a mug.

Fulham for me, maybe Spain as an outside bet

Not convinced that Jol will be sacked at Fulham.

What Gus wants is a lunatic foreign owner with a blank cheque book willing to take a punt on him.

Step forward Leicester.

If I were that lunatic foreign owner - I would get Gus. You would know of him, you would get good football, you would fill the ground, you would get media focus, and you stand a very good chance of promotion.
