Haven't been happy after the last few games, we cannot hold on to a lead!! That screams at me that we need reinforcements. Gus says he has contact from agents/players on a daily basis, surely some of them could do a job ??

No, that was the time when Gordon Greer played a beautiful 60 yard ball over the top of the Full-back for Nooney to run onto. Nooney got to the ball, beat the Full-back a couple of times, then got to the by-line and took the shot on, when it was easier to pull it back to CMS on the six yard box.

Thanks for that. I wondered who made the pass. That sort of pass deserves creating a chance. According to the radio Noone did not get his head up and see what was going on. These sort of long balls were the thing that Spain were doing. If the defence are playing out from the left, the opposing defence moves over to the same side so a long accurate ball to the opposite wing creates space to exploit. Ipswich did this against the Albion.

My estimation of Greer is going up. If we get a good central defender in, he could still play a good role as full back.

I prefer Lua lua to Noone.

Did anyone see Gus go mental just before half-time?
Nooney received the ball just before the half-way line, turned his marker and then run down the channel beating a couple of men...whilst this is going on Gus leaps out of his seat in the Dugout, goes mental and then kicks two water bottles down the touchline. Nooney then makes into the box, cuts inside and gets a decent shot away.
I don’t quite understand what caused Gus to go Chicken Oriental?!

I think he felt it was a foul on Noone. He starting getting agitated when Noone took it round the first guy who was all over him.

Which way did the keeper dive. To his right? Keeper may have been practising to stop a Barnes penalty and moved prematurely and Harley got in a pickle ??? Ouwitted rather than just plain naff.

Penalties should be created as an art. A specialist penalty taker on the pitch and analysis of previous penalties against the opposing keeper.

Over 50% of penalties have been missed in the Premiership this year (heard that on the BBC). Barnes has got the bottle to take penalties. Now if he got more bottle with holding on to the ball sometimes. I think he he is an instinctive player though and maybe if he changes his natural game, he might lose a bit. Murray was even more so instinctive and Barnes could be a better player than Murray.

I will and quite happily will watch us lose if it loils as though there is 100% effort, when the effort is lacking ( as it has been) then players deserve stick end of

His other half just sent him a pic of the dodgy work Noone did on Gus' roof

I prefer Lua lua to Noone.

i have to ask why?

Noone may be decidely one footed, but he still causes problems by being a livewire and cutting inside and out.

Lua Lua this season has offered very little - plays the ball into space ahead of him and tries to outpace whoever he is up against. that's pretty much it. he does win alot of freekicks too i suppose by hitting the deck an incredible amount.

BUT Noone over Lua Lua every day of the week for me.

Gus gives 100% , some of the players are not , surely you can see why he is pissed off.

Some of the problems are clearly of his own making.

(Saturday)
- he (if various people are correct) has the pitch watered five minutes before the kick-off then leaves the players wearing studs that cause them to fall over far more often than the opposition

(last night)

- With Barnes missing from the starting line-up, why weren't the team fully briefed on what to do if we got a penalty? Like: don't fanny about trying to be smart, just hit it hard so as to at least force the keeper to make a save and maybe snaffle something from any rebound
- Harley came out for the second half when he'd clearly had an absolute stinker of a first half

Pork pie land.
Probably because we didn't play 100 passes before getting the ball from the half way line into the box? We are Brighton and we have an identity after all

An "identity" that either needs better players to execute it, or needs to change. We have been found out with our tippy tappy foreign football, being played by players who are not good enough to pull it off. We need some good old fashioned English (or Scottish in CMS's case) muscle in the team.

Based on his performances before Lua lua got injured. Noone is the player in form.

f***ing right he's not happy. We cannot simply keep giving goals away late in games. Perhaps thats too much for you to understand?

we played shit, he has every reason to be pissed off yesterday, I think its hit him that we need atleast 2 new players, a goalkeeper, center midfielder & maybe a left back and foward if tony will give him the funds

Do you think? I think he knew that before a ball was kicked this season.

CMS isn't much of penalty taker, I don't think. He didn't do it for peterborough. However, Noone scored one in pre-season and said he'd be up for it during the season, but then barnes took them. Perhaps noone should have taken it.

Having said that, when harley signed his ability on set pieces was one of his reputed positives.

He couldnt even take a freaking corner last night - twerp!

I think has a right to be unhappy.

we threw away 2 points with some sloppy goal-keeping.

errrrrrrrr I was right behind their equaliser. A goal from the moment he hit it. Nothing casper could have done to stop that. Just a really good goal!
