Have to agree with you there. When you also consider at the same time he let just of type of player we need now, leave and join the scum for free, its not to understand why Bloom doesn't seem to be backing him in the transfer market as strongly as he did last summer. As much as I like Gus, the facts say he has spent £2.5m on a striker and a year later is trying to claim he needs big money to sign another, while it has been revealed in the last week that he wants to get rid of four players, three of whom cost us a combined £1m just 12 months ago. He must be able to see he's not in a strong position when it comes to making demands?
What is Victor Anichebe situation at Everton? Surely he must be down the pecking order with Jelavic now in. The bloke is an absolute beast.
But as Poyet has said, he wants a premiership quality striker but just cannot simply afford it.
All I want is to see Gus play 4-4-2 with two strikers up front. Is that really so much to ask?

And I think we will. Thank f*** we only have one more game before the window closes. I think by the Burnley game we will have our striker, and if all goes to plan no one on this board will be unhappy. I think a lot depends on whether Bloom thinks all we are lacking is a striker. As I said last night, the only stumbling block to Zamoras coming on loan is wages. Whether it reamins that way if nothing else happens, on Friday 31st August remains to be seen. £40k a week for a seaon long loan. Less than £1.5m. Considering Poyet blew a million on players last summer, that he now wants out, its not a massive gamble or even a huge surprise to me, if it was to come off.We have built a squad for promotion except for a striker, think we need to pay what is needed
Murray left for a better offer of £2k a week more than we were willing to pay. Had we matched Palaces offer, Murray would still be here. We then went on to sign Vicente who's wages for 4 months is substantially more than the difference in the lifetime of the contract Murray signed for Palace, then I would say we made very little effort to keep him.He didn't let him leave. Murray chose to leave for a better offer. We wanted to keep him amd made him an offer, he turned it down.
I just don't know whuch part of that confuses you or which part doesn't make sense to you. It is very simple.
Poor example to use a premiership team who beat us 6-0 without breaking sweat last season.Probably the reason why you are not involved with football. Go and watch West Ham or something
We need to pull a Mike Small out of the hat.

Personally I'm a little disappointed we haven't got some unknown from Southern America.
I don't care where in the team, although it's obviously now a striker that's needed.
But we are definitely down on flair.

But its not logical. We allowed Murray to leave. It wasn't because we could afford him. We pay CMS more, and we pay Vicente a few times more than we would have needed to pay Murray. If Murray had join Man Utd for 200k a week then Ninja would have a valid point. But he joined Palace for 2k more a week and when you consider the fees and wages Poyet has spunked on three of the players who he's told to leave 12 months after signing them, 2k a week is a drop in the ocean.stop being so logical please..its confusing

Had Murray signed, we would not even have been close to our top two earners in terms of wages. So excuse me for saying we let him leave, because we did.
