As it happens yes. I also realise it requires a lot of confidence and skill to execute, hence why some of our new signings are taking to some time to settle, and we've been struggling.

I'm enjoying watching Swansea right now, & despite losing I love watching them. It takes time but I can see us getting there. I'm prepared to give this setup my patience, faith and full support!!!

I'd be happy if we moved the ball like Swansea but we dont ,we're always looking to go sideways or backwards where a quick forward ball to feet could open the defence & should always be the first option. I want the players to have me on my feet not slumped back in my seat. Even against Middlesboro when were chasing an equalizer it was all so pedestrian & ponderous.

we've got no penetration and a big part of that is because we f*** about with the ball so much in defense and midfield the opposition always has time to regroup and reorganise Things need to change and quickly. OUT.

This sums up a lot of our issues yet game after game there is no sway from this way of playing and it's totally frustrating, the last 3 home games have been horrid in my opinion, hardly enjoyable.

Our flaws seem so obvious so why do we keep persisting with it time and time again? I can't speak for today and I take my hat off to those that go away but the last 3 home game have been so predictable, goals conceded within the same 10 minute period, subs made in the last 20 ( whats that whole taking El-Abd off with and moving Hammond back? ) with zero effect ( bar Buckley against Ipswich, a team glued to the bottom we were lucky to get a point off )

The next 2 home games are massive, I love Poyet but some of these failings need to be addressed, it's not as simple as signing a striker, it might help but if your not creating then who are you creating for?

An out of form Blackpool who made us look rubbish everywhere except in defence. We were overrun, not a pretty sight , 1st game I've actually felt a bit despondent at the end.

Blackpool were SUPERB going forward, regardless of how they'd played before today. Practically every cross was very dangerous.

They walked through us in midfield and took the ball of us at will. Were they superb because they are man for man a better team than us or were they just a more committed and physical side who went for the jugular? That's what teams in this division do at home When was the last time Poyet sent out a side to do that at the Amex? We were totally outplayed, are you just gonna ignore that and not question our team and tactics? REALLY?

Gus should spend less time running scared of what teams may do to us and let us GO at them, at home at least. If today's powderpuff attack been a one off, I guess I could live with being played off the park. unfortunately it's the norm because Gus plays with fear and it's getting through to the team.

Worrying times imo

I'm delighted to see that over 70% of fans have chosen the right option. Apart from Jose & Ferguson I honestly wouldn't want any other manager than Gus.

He needs to make some big changes to our personnel and the tactics we play, I'm not thinking of route one but playing with more width across midfield which requires fast competitive centre backs
but he will get us to the premiership if he is given long enough, something that I fully expect Bloom to support him with as together they are transforming the future of our club

Don't say that Perkino, you will upset the trolls that have attached themselves to this site. FWIW I agree with you. We will get there but there is no rush.

Do you think that Bloom and the board think that there is no rush? Will we fill the Amex if we are losing at home or not entertaining?

I think our style of play is fantastic to watch but we don't have the players to play it for 90 minutes and week in week out, we have been found out and I think that there is every rush to get it sorted. Results industry and a lack of results over the last month, I really hope that Gus gets it sorted but I can't see it until we play two up front but to do that we need to lose one in midfield or one in defence. Gus has set his team up this year on a solid defence but reduced our attacking options.

No there not, they are Brighton fans with an opnion. The opinion maybe one you dont agree with but, they are still fans.

There are fans who come onto Nsc who thoroughly enjoy winding others up. When we have a good spell, such as in September, they don't come anywhere near the place.

In. This is the best we have played in my time. We are in the highest position since 1997 (or when I started on this love affair with all things Albion), and someone every weekend posts this drivel.

sense at last.

agree pretty much with every word

Winding who up? So do you think we love seeing our beloved Albion lose and play shit, do you think we love coming on here after another shit defeat lording it over other Albion fans? think again, we are passionate Albion fans voiceing our frustration and are sharing it with like minded fans.

We're not all PC where you have to toe the line.

Nobody is asking you to toe the line but the knee jerk reaction to a good away point at a ground we lost 3-1 at the same stage last season, is laughable. As is the poll posted by Vulture. Don't make out that you are a better fan than others because you are questioning the manager as we all do that, but some of us can see a work in progress and don't just look at the last month. Acker79 keeps stats which show that the equivalent games (swap Pompey for Sheff Wed) we are actually one place higher in the table and 2 points better off than this time last year. I don't like losing games and don't know a single fan who does but that's football.

SAT 18 AUG Hull City A 1 - 0
TUE 21 AUG Cardiff H 0 - 0
SAT 25 AUG Barnsley H 5 - 1
SAT 1 SEP Burnley A 1 - 3
FRI 14 SEP Sheff Wed H 3 - 0
TUE 18 SEP Watford A 0 - 1
SAT 22 SEP Millwall A 1 - 2
SAT 29 SEP Birmingham H 0 - 1
TUE 2 OCT Ipswich H 1 - 1
SAT 6 OCT Derby A 0 - 0
SAT 20 OCT Middlesbrough H 0 - 1
TUE 23 OCT Leicester A 1 - 0

It's obvious that (with all due respect) we should be wiping the floor with teams like these
