Does Dazza know anything about this?

I don't know. But he will sign with us,as I said
Before.I stand by that.

Just his agent trying to get more money off Brighton.
If I was the agent I would want a good deal for the player and myself.

I know £££ I would ask.

This is what Gus said last May about Inigo

Poyet, speaking after Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Yeovil in the final game of the season, said: "Don’t get me wrong, I like to help the players and I want the players to get as much money as possible.

“If he had come to me and said he’s got an offer to double his money from those cockjuggleeng thundercunts what am I going to say? You cannot stop people from going but from what I’ve been told he’s had no offer at all.

"There was only the contract to sign. He decided to wait for a possible offer from another club in this division who we cannot compete with (financially). Everyone know that.

"If somebody thinks we are the Chelsea or Man City of this division we are not, that is Southampton. If they are going to buy the players and pay more than the rest we can do nothing about it.

"We’ve withdrawn the offer. We don’t accept any players agreeing contracts and not signing. We are a proper club. He had until midnight (Friday), so the offer is gone and now he is not going to be our player, I promise you that.

"It’s simple. Six months ago nobody knew him and now he is in the spotlight because of Brighton football club, so I was expecting a little something back.

"He is injured. We took a risk offering him the contract without knowing how long it’s going to take.

"I am disappointed with him and his agent. He no did the job very well for the player - he delayed things too much. Inigo was outstanding for us and we wish him well, apart from when he plays against us.”

Saints then realised they could offer him less money, as our offer was withdrawn, it was only a two year deal, and Calde quickly worked out that our three year deal gave him better long term security, so accepted it a month later. Gus and TB are both geniuses in my eyes. To be fair, a spiv agent against a poker playing squillionaire lizard, there's only going to be one winner.

I have it on good authority that he is very much interested in Murray.

Would not be the first manager to deny a link to a rival player when in actual fact he is after him.

Being clever. How would it look to say 'Yes, we are trying to sign him' only to get turned down?

I thought the fact he said 'Loads of clubs are interested in the lad' suggested he'd made enquiries myself...

Someone who has been right about quite a few things at the club over the last three or four years, including transfers.

And it is not any of the players.

You haven't answered the question. Who is it? Otherwise it's zero credibility to you, zero credibility to your puerile "I have my sources" nonsense and you'll been seen as speaking with all the authority of Mr Burns in a job interview for a job as a scout specialising in young goalscorers.

If he was offered a better deal by Palace than anybody else why wouldn't he ? He's never going to be a Tevez and like the vast majority of people would want to make as much money out of his career as possible.

A source of mine who's usually pretty accurate suggested to me that it was none other than Kerry Mayo, which took me aback somewhat. Don't shoot the messenger if incorrect

Kerry has been on holiday all week in Lanzarote. Source - twitter.

If you're going to sing a song, surely it has to be based on:

If that were true Freedman would look a bit of a twat if Murray did sign for them. I prefer to blame the agent for trying to do a 'Rooney'. In truth I can't see Murray joining Palace unless he was offered a huge wage and long contract in any case.

My suspicion is that he was interested in Murray until Murray's agent decided to turn the process into a very public, Dutch auction. I'd be surprised if he ended up there now.

Christ, here we bloody go again - OK, who is your supposed "good authority" then? Come on, spit it out, who is it? Put up or shut up, for once.

Remind me where exactly Glenn has ended up please?

Only when it is an update on Jim and certainly not in this case.

and remind me who categorically said that we hadn't discussed a contract with Murray before february? A statement that is patently untrue given Gus's statement in the argus that we discussed one last summer and again 3 or 4 months ago and Murray's assertion to his palace fan friend (who I know) that an offer in january was in his agent's opinion, 'derisory'.
