It doesn't happen overnight does it? And there are plenty of "bigger" clubs below us - Palace are overachieving this year with some young players, not really relevant to this debate.

Which clubs with bigger gates are below us? And next season with 30,000 our gates will be the highest in the league. Sorry mate but the days of Brighton getting big gates (like in the 60s and 70s) but with no expectation have gone.big crowds, big catchment area brings responsibility to bring success. Sadly, Gus doesn't seem to know what the hell he is doing; and the team seem totally demotivated. Something major needs to change - and soon. One thing we can be sure of is that Tony Bloom will not want to see us relegated and if we need a change of manager to arrest the decline, I'm sure he'll do whatever is required.
