Yeah - I think everyone is disappointed and surprised by the result but look at positives already mentioned - no injuries etc.

My day was made by the League One results plus Saints fixture congestion. When we beat Plymouth everything will be rosy again.

Only un-enforced changes, I think, were Brez and Elph for Casper and El Abd - and Elph is a pretty good back-up for El-Abd. All the rest were, I think, through injury or unavailability.

Just needed Holroyd to complete the set.

I think if Gus had brought on Holroyd as a sub in the 2nd half he might be facing a hearing at the FA for bringing the reputation of the FA Cup into disrepute.

And you explain the inclusion of the Batti boy how?

Wood ruled out late on, Sparrow not fully fit and not worth risking with Tuesday in mind, Caskey not ready for 90 mins?

Brez had a bad day that's not gus's fault. Are you seriously suggesting that batty deserved his place on ability though?

Pay attention. The only other "midfielders" available - look at the bench - were Baz, who is more of a forward - or Caskey - who is 16 and has played less than half a game in his life.

I find it amusing that you and one or two others are criticising Gus for not taking the cup seriously while the game is still going on. If the FA Cup is such a holy grail for you and we have reached the fifth round for the first time in 25 years, surely you would have moved heaven and earth to get to the game rather than sitting at home on your computer slagging off the manager's team selections.

Also, as someone else said when you are without Navarro, Kishishev, Sparrow, Smith, Noone and Wood; then Battipiedi is probably the next best choice. Out of interest, who would you have picked? Also, the subs all did pretty well when they came on.

..and did well when he came on. He could be our secret weapon as we near the end of the season-well done Gus for having the balls to use him.

Was it really a 'reserve side'? I'm pretty certain we have got a few injuries here and there. Eight of our players are regular starters and it looked as though he was going to play a three pronged attack, if Wood had been fit.

We played a lot of the second half with Brez, Elphick, Bati, Baz, Sandaza and Caskey-none of whom are considered starters. I was at the game and, although disappointed that we lost, I am 100% in support of the way Gus handled this game. HE knows exactly what the CHAIRMAN (and supporters) wants and expects and planned accordingly. This board would go into total meltdown if an extended cup run prevents us from getting promotion. The cup run was a bit of fun-now the season gets serious and I can't wait for Tuesday's game.
