Like many of us I thought CH was great. But if CH had been our manager last night I don’t think we’d have won because he’s not as adventurous as GP. Our winning goal last night had 6 of our players in their box - CH wouldn’t have done that, he’d have shut up shop and gone for a point. For GP to still be attacking away to Arsenal in the last 10 mins, when it might have been easier to settle for a point, takes a lot of balls and self confidence - and confidence in the team.

We have no idea what Hughton would have done with the six new players in the team -

There is no doubt that the team would be less adventurous - but they likely would have been better organised at the back and might not have conceded that goal. I would agree that if it was 1-1 with 10 mins to go Hughton would likely have shut up shop with the attitude that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. It was a bit risky to push forward like Brighton did - but it worked out fine.

Arsenal are a shambles - I could see West Ham beating them on Monday - Man City could hammer them the following week - and if they don't get a manager to put a bit of organisation into the team the wheels could really come off.

It's not a different team.

8 of the starting XI last night were available to CH last season.
That in itself is a bit of a record as it's usually 9 or 10 players.
Only Burn was - Alzate was a year younger - played at Swindon in League Two and was injured for five months - Connolly was a year younger - was injured for 4 months and couldn't get into a League One team when he recovered. I would also argue that Burn needed time to adjust to the PL - and he was one of the poorer players last night (imo). Webster, Maupay and Mooy weren't with the team - and Mooy was the best player on the pitch.

I think Lee Dixon put it best: “at times, Brighton’s football was beautiful.”

Watching the above, well it bloody was.

Having been at Newcastle and witnessed a similar display lacking - a goal yes, but we were the best i’ve ever seen that day - last night we surpassed it. Two/three common themes; Graham Potter and Aaron Mooy... and Dan Burn ;)

Well I'm going to quickly tap out now because quite frankly this is incredibly pathetic in the afterglow of such a performance.

What do you (or anyone) gain from this "Chris Hughton was really good and Graham Potter is really bad" campaign?

Not trying to step on you here, just curious.

I'm amazed that the national media keep going on about Eddie Howe, Chris Wilder and Sean Dyche as promising up and coming English coaches but Graham Potter hardly gets a mention. Incredible.

That's because he's Swedish

Different team - different manager - different circumstances - different gameplan - different season - different opposition (in terms of changes from last season) - you cannot compare individual games from season to season.

I wasn't comparing an individual game. Question - including to other posters (who actually go to games, not just you) - anyone here think, at 2-2 vs Everton, CH would have countenanced 5 players in their area on 93 mins ? Would he **** - 9 in defence, and Muzza on his own 60 yards away from the nearest BHA player. Saw it time and again - but only repeatedly in the dire second half of last season.

Their goal was a fluke - no way that header was intended to be goal-bound. Propper got in Ryan's way too. Shit happens. Likely ?? LOL.

Their goal had been coming since the start of the second half - and after it they had another 4/5 really good chances to score that they didn't take - Brighton's defence was very shaky at times last night.

Some of the comments last night - not from me - I wasn't the only one who thought things were a bit shaky at the back

Can't wait for Bernardo to get fit. Burn a liability.

Would prefer Hughton’s defence..... at this moment

Forgotten how to pass and track and tackling non-existent.

Useless defending.

Arsenal will throw everything at us, Bit worried of Alzate as a full back. Gross of and push Alzate forward and bring Montoya or Bernardo on

We are so soft. Smallest bit of pressure and we buckle.

Ryan has absolutely no presence. He should have gone through everyone for that! Another soft soft goal!

Where the **** is the intensity from the first half, we've come out playing like ****ing children

**** me we're stupid. Under pressure and we take a quick short goal kick and lose it immediately.

hopefully we wake up from that. make a change and get into them.

Wtf has happened this half...

We are a shambles at the moment

This is inevitable isn’t it :(

Webster at times is so ordinary in possession

Webster gives the ball away far TOO MUCH !

I can’t quite believe we are still in this. We are 100% ready to concede

When are we going to be able to defend a corner or set piece

And Mr Burn is not good enough at showing his winger out wide and keeping him there until Albion help arrives - it's scary sometimes!

Full of confidence to shitting ourselves at h/t....Still in it but hope it’s not an unlucky Brighton result again.

Can't be arsed. You're boring.

Edit. Sorry - just realised, I think you misunderstand my post. I meant same old shite from you on here, not from CH.

Didn't actually - I got exactly where you were going with it - and got the reply that I expected as well.
