There was definitely something at the time that said he was not going to get the full 6 years payoff (or whatever his contract length was). I think he maybe got a year’s salary

Yeah it widely reported at the time that he got paid off a year’s salary. Which is still way more than most of us will earn in our lifetimes.

How soon is now?

Give half to the taxman, buy a house in the Cayman Islands, put the kids through private education and live a life of financial comfort and tranquility

or get back into the rollercoaster of football

On his way back to Brighton if de Zerbi goes to Man Utd.
No chance. It will probably be that Scandinavian geezer. Or someone else we have never heard of. Tony Bloom is young enough to remember the return of Micky Adams.

Once upon a time most real football men with a true love of the game would have taken the latter option, but in those days of course, payolffs weren't nearly at the same level.

I think he will end up at United.

Ratcliffe is a fan apparently and wants a return to a British core.
Manure are another club with massively entitled over earning "superstars" who own the dressing room.
It would result in another Chelsea disaster for Potter, not his scene at all.

His next job should be a project somewhere, maybe lowerd own the Premier League, or even the Championship, just as the Albion were when he took over. Somewhere where the chairman will be patient and give him time to build a squad and acheive some success.

Ratcliffe is apparently in charge of the football side of things now, he will purge the squad I imagine.

He has Nice top of the league, sadly he seems to know how to run a club

Or
Micky Adams Part One was a much better version though.
My point exactly. Part 2 was shite. As would Potter be.

Potter part 1 was better than Adams part 1, too.

At least when he starts Rashford as a LWB he has no excuse but to track back

Sorry disagree, Adams part 1 we won a league championship, something we hadn't done for years. Potter? Won nothing, just passed the ball sideways for 3 years. Man Utd are welcome to him.

Absolutely, one home win in like a year ffs. People got excited because we beat a crap Leicester before he left and believe the corner was turned forgetting the previous game against Fulham was absolute turd.
