Because it will be sold to him as a project and he’s failed with Chelsea so he will see it as an opportunity with a club that has money and potential. He needs to rebuild his brand and Leeds gives him that. If he comes back into PL and fails again I don’t think his reputation would recover and he would definitely go to a far lower/lesser team in Championship or Div 1

If he failed in the PL again he would still walk into a Championship job after.

If he went to Leeds this summer and failed in the Championship, that would damage his reputation.

Potter being linked with the Leeds job which might be a decent fit.

So he'll be going from a £10 million a year job at Chelsea to what, maybe £500k to £1 million a year at Leeds, tops.

Still nice work, especially after a pay-off, but some drop nonetheless.
