We are about to find out if the Chelss players are actually going to put a shift in to save Potter. I have a suspicion that they will not put that shift in. It moves all the blame from the players to the manager, who gets the chop. I respect each fan’s view on him. My view, he’s a briefcase full of technobabble and bullshit, always has been always will be. This is highest level elite sport. He made our team impotent. He’s made them impotent. In a coaching team of 12 people at BHAFC (1s, U21s, academy, ladies) not a single one during Briefcase’s tenure here had ever played as a striker, not one. And we fell impotent in the final 20 yards. Funny that. You don’t need a briefcase full of techno-babble bollocks and PhDs to work that one out, do you, you complete t0553r. And without adding anyone, we’ve become the 4th highest scorers. Funny that. Briefcase W4nker.

Like I said, I respect all other’s views. That’s my view. Trust you can respect that.
I don't think that the Chelsea players are going to be putting any shifts in. The team changes every week and most are left out at some stage.
I reckon a lot of them think he's a bit of a goon.
They would have put a shift in by now surely? at least once?

Predict Chelsea/Leeds will be a draw mainly down to the Champions of Europe™ not being good enough rather than Chelsea having a great game.

De Zerbi seemed happy to join a club with an established squad and no interference from the owner.

Potter, eyes shut, seemed happy to go where the money was.
I couldn’t agree more. But if Tottenham or Chelsea show De Zerbi their wad in the summer will he say thanks but I’m happy at Brighton? I think just maybe he would …..

I respect that everyone has the right to an opinion but when someone accuses Potter of being responsible for the ladies team not having a forward I feel obliged to comment, especially as this is a discussion forum.

with the number of hugely expensive signings they now have, i dont see how he can possiblty include all of the players who could reasonably have expected to be in the matchday squad-let alone the starting 11
There is simply no way to keep the squad happy or settled. He either has to effectivly totally drop some £50million + players, or rotate them in and out of the matchday squad. He either has some very unhappy very expensive u21 squad players, or a very unsettled team- who simply will not be able to gel

I think Todd has made a huge mistake-not in appointing Potter, but by the ridiculous spending on players they didnt need and cant play. Paying well over the odds for players serves no one (other than agents) in the medium to long term. It causes player price inflation which then affects all other clubs, player resentment (Cucurella can not be happy) and leads to dishatmony in the camp-and poor results

I dont think there is a manager anywhere that could keep them all happy, whatever he does he is upsetting some, most, or all of them. Unless there is a mass clearout in the summer there will be a lot of issues whoever is the manager

Reese James being out with yet another injury isn’t going to help Chelsea

"Wait till they got Chilwell and James back" was often said when they were out.

Then they came back and got stuffed 2-0 by Spurs.

It won't help I agree, but their problems are bigger than one player.

Brighton factually.....
Possibly one of the rare occasions other than them playing Palace, I want Leeds to at least get a point.

This could be a wonderful week in the shitshow that is Sussex-by-the-Thames.

I assume I'm not the first to bring this to the attention of the house, nevertheless I have no problem with repeating it:-

Real Madrid have scored more goals in England than Chelsea in 2023

The Arteta comparison is such a lazy narrative that the media keep trotting out. Arsenal were never as bad as Chelsea have been this season, and won a cup in his first year.
and iirc Arteta had a couple of stroppy misfiring players to deal with, and a shallow bench.
