Next six games
Man City
Leeds
Fulham
Spurs
Liverpool
Burnley

We will be lucky to get 3 points from the six games and with the three big teams likely a nasty goals against tally, Fulham with two in hand also play West Brom so could either bring them back into an escape position of put WBA out of contention.

The worse thing about the last few weeks is the teams above us have started pulling away 8 points is a massive gap when you have only won 2 games in 17.

Think most have accepted it's between us and Fulham for 18th.

Just one more question to the now, 213, in brigade, same set of results but 27500 home fans in the ground making their feelings heard every home game, would that change anything?

If the alternative was
A gamble, but clearly that's what Potter was as well, and there's at least £150 million of TV money at stake, (and fully prepared to get shot down) Adam Lallana, Player manager, assisted by a proven EPL Number 2, Joe Jordan who was at Pompey with Harry is currently out of work, Craig Shakespeare who was at Leicester and Watford or even Mark McGhee.
then probably not.

At least, unlike some, you were prepared to put your head above the parapet

Yeah but his suggestions come from the Jurassic period

Heartwarming to see the majority of NSC are Potter in [emoji123]

All those complaints and criticisms that GP had lost the dressing room, or the players weren’t playing for him can be put to bed. If the players didn’t support the manager we lose yesterday, simple as that. Incredible hunger, desire and character to fight back. And should have won as Trossards goal should have stood.

out for me still.

Yesterday 2nd half was good but that first half wasnt and conceded 3. Curious selections again.

Hope he turns it round but for now , he's out

Out, ****ing hell if people are convinced by a 45 minute display and a woefully defensive Wolves side I can't believe it. A free header from 6 yards out away from another loss, defence is just not good enough under Potter.

Or the same amount away from a winner from Zeqiri, a crossbar away from a winner from Webster, a whistle away from a winner from Trossard.

It's all about opinions. Mine is that he's had long enough.

Dan Burn is not a left back. He's good in a back three and that's when he should play.

Potter plays too many square pegs in round holes and too much squad rotation.

Winning one home game in a calendar year. How many managers would survive that?

I also find him very uninspiring.

I’m not sure that the very occasional, sporadic, brief and somewhat moronic sounding “Albiiooon” would change anything Ian tbh, I think even Messi would turn into Johnny Crumplin after being exposed to that dirge, no keep the Amex empty, at least it pretty much resembles a regular matchday experience for the players in terms of atmosphere, and also come 78 minutes in terms of bums on seats, especially in the ESL.

:eek::moo::wink: :amex::lolol:

Yeah, a bit of vocal support might have turned some of the draws into wins, and see a lot more people wanting to continue with Potter.

Fighting between fans would be inevitable wouldn’t it? Can you have a socially distanced fight? :lolol:

I’m a yes on this.

I think a full crowd may have cheered us on to victory against Wolves and maybe some of the other draws. I’m certain that the ref for the Man Utd game would not have played 2mins Fergie time with 27,500 fans screaming for the whistle; he should have blown up almost immediately after Solly’s equaliser.

I'm not aware that anyone ever said GP had lost the dressing room? Just the suggestion thats his screws are loose!

Despite the blind optimism of scraping a draw GP is not the messiah and not quite good enough (yet) I'm not aware of any viable alternative, ie not a step back, or anyone thats proven and likely to be prepared to manage teams like these. I remain on the outside of the fence. Our record in 2020 isn't good enough, our record this season isn't good enough. We are 4 points behind a 40 point average with 6 games coming up we're on target to get 2-6 points from if we're lucky (IMO).

GP has ultimate job security so won't walk, therefore assuming TB has clearly stated theres no gold in the pot and he can live with relegation and the continuation of the Plan, then so be it, that's none of our business, we just have to live with it.

My gut feeling is that is a ruinous road financially and we won't bounce back for some time if we get relegated.

A few signings/loans and a proper fight for survival is preferable, for stability that has to be with GP . . . . But if we continue as we are and there's a real relegation whiff in the air, come Feb/March, a firefighter to keep us up would and should be a serious consideration.

Agree on both these points

So, assuming he has the backing and support of his players, what is it he says behind closed doors ? Or how does he play the John Major in public so convincingly . . . . Its like psychological torture sometimes. you don't need to wear your whole heart on your sleeve, but you could at least show you have one.

If you can't make an impression in a year and a half, how long do you need ?

Allardyce might be available again then! He was labelled as the big potential saviour and "safe option" about a month ago, not heard a lot about it recently. Wonder what happened.
