I have to say that I’m still for giving Potter more time. After what feels like a forever of playing games, playing poorly, and waiting for Glenn Murray to rescue us with a snatched goal, we’re in the post-Murray period.

For the last part of the season, we may actually have attacking options: Welbeck, Connolly, Maupay, Tau, Trossard, possibly even Andone.

I still wish we’d show a bit more incisiveness and purpose when we get closer to goal, but some of that’s confidence, and actually having players that we can swap into those positions if the ones on the pitch are playing poorly is huge progress in itself.

Potter is not to blame for our recruitment. He hasn’t had the bodies, we have to let him try and forge an attack with a bit of pace and purpose now he does.

I’m liking what I see of Tau. A couple of wild shots, but he is playing on a ploughed field.

A question.

With the same Summer 20 and Jan 21 (so far) transfer budget of £1m, would eg Steve Gerrard or Sean Dyche have delivered a load more wins for us this season?

I haven’t a clue, but I do have this horrible inkling that by EPL standards, our squad has glaring deficiencies.

Passing isn’t one of them.

Still Out

The way we play and the attitude of the players is a reflection of the man in charge unfortunately. Wrong person for this job, probably a great guy but not a leader at this level imho

More in than ever.

Did you see those penalties from the attacking key players? A manager who made this team score 21 goals in 17 PL games is obviously and blatantly world class.

I think our fans are pretty entitled to expect us to beat Newport in less than 120 minutes.

I wonder if Leeds and WBA feel the same? If you DEMAND we win, then yes you are entitled

It’s the FA Cup, anything can happen and occasionally does, we got out of jail. Love it

I was entertained, that’s good enough for me

So Steele had done homework on the penalty takers. Anything to do with Mr Potter or will the dullards just blame poor Graham for Steele’s horrifying error in the final second of normal time?

In for me, just, but if we lose the Fulham game (and assuming we get 0 or 1 points in the next two) I think it'll be out.

Seemed very rudderless tonight. Picked a strong team but didn't seem like he really wanted to win it.

I wouldn’t bother icey...they think what they think ..we all have our views...I’d be more sympathetic if people had made the long journey and we’d lost...it didn’t happen on both counts

Can we blame Potter for the atrocious tactics which left ourselves vulnerable to such an error or the awful state of our penalties which required Steele to do so much homework?

I'm in also for another 4 games before conducting a review. But there is some logic to this view..:albion2:

Can we can blame Potter for the MOTM performance of their keeper? If so I’m joining the OUT camp

Amazing performance watching all those off-target shots whistle past his post
