How on earth can Leeds be a free hit, is every game a free hit now apart from 2 or 3 teams, Leeds leak goals it’s a game we should at least be getting a draw from.

Must be a typo.

We are better away, we’ll be going for a win against Leeds like we did at Villa and Newcastle. They’ve got a huge Philips shaped hole in the middle which Potter should be able to exploit massively.

we've had 7 free hits this season and got 1 point

(L)Chelsea H
(L)Utd H
(L)Everton A
(L)Tottenham A
(D)Liverpool H
(L)Leicester A
(L)Man City A

And 6 games that are relegation games ( 6 pointers ) -, 8 points out of 18

(W)Newcastle A
(D)Palace A
(D)West Brom H
(D)Burnley H
(D)Fulham A
(D)Sheff Utd H

The position we are in at the moment , the way the team has gone backwards and our not great record in the 2nd table above means Saturday is a must not lose providing we beat Fulham. Anything less than 4 points the next 2 wont be good enough I don't think.

Free hit - no chance, we really need to win saturday , change the direction and momentum

I absolutely agree that the games through February against the bottom 6 are obvious best chance for wins, but to be honest, I look at 5th down and honestly think there are no teams in there who it would be a massive shock if we were to pick points up from them - whether they can be wins or not remain to be seen, so I get the focus on games against Sheff Utd/Fulham, West Brom, Burnley, but I guess my sense is that they will be tough, tough games because the teams are also still fighting, targeting us too. These type of games often end in draws - so the difference between us and their end of the season may not be those games, rather who can pick up points elsewhere?

Nobody should be judging Potter on yesterday's game in a negative sense, however the next two games are absolutely vital and if we fail to win either then I think that makes it absolutely fair for some serious questions to be asked. No point doing well against Man City away then shitting the bed in two winnable games against teams in the bottom half.

Good performance by the boys against a strong City side. Keep the faith the wins will come.

Agreed, but WHEN??

We really can't afford many more games without a win.

If we don't beat Fulham, I think we are down. :(

We've been saying the same thing all season, and part of last. playing 'nice' football, or at least easy on the eye, but not getting the job done.

(W)Newcastle A
(D)Palace A
(D)West Brom H
(D)Burnley H
(D)Fulham A
(D)Sheff Utd H

that is a sackable offence and nailed on relegation.

we have 3 options, IMO

abandon unicorn football for a get the job done approach ( unlikely from Potter)

relegation ( TB's call, but highly undesirable financially)

new manager (TB's call, if he thinks its worth it or has someone better in mind/available/capable)

Apparently Chelsea are talking about bringing in Avram Grant as an advisor. . . .maybe thats an option . . . not one GP wold be happy with but what does he know about winning in the PL.

results aren't going to change much as things stand.
