I've used DHL recently, they were very good. Also, I think that most WHSmith branches can send DHL packs.

I also used EuroRunner, who are also good, but based in Wolverhampton, so perhaps not so good for someone in Sussex.

(I can't remember the relative prices though)

If you send it Special Delivery with Royal Mail it will get there Saturday. These items will keep moving through the system as they are a flagship product and management will be ensuring that those items are flowing through. The delivery staff are back at work on Saturday so will be delivering it at it's destination by 13.00 that day

Do be quiet :lolol: :jester:

I meant Saturday, monday if need be, LATEST tuesday..

If Tuesday is an option, then I would still go through Royal Mail.

Special Delivery gets priority treatment as soon as the strike is over, and it's possible that it will still be moved through the system even during the strike but of course no guarantees as to date of delivery can be made by the Post Office.

And if it doesn't get there you can claim 4k compo.

Not bad for a £4 service.

You try and get that from DHL, TNT etc.

Thanks for all your suggestions. The Post Office say that they cannot guarantee this though?

Everyone's jumping up and down saying they are switching to RM's competitors - that's fine but they aint all they're cracked up to be. Sure RM has lot's of flaws as no doubt many can testify but don't assume the other companies will be any better especially as they will be charging top dollar.

There is no way your post office won't guarantee a SPECIAL DELIVERY, monday next week.

Just don't bother sending anything by Recorded Delivery. Royal Mail treats Recorded Delivery like BNP would treat imigrant members (allegedly). They are trying to drive people to pay £4.00 odd for next day delivery when in the old days that used to cost you the price if a first class stamp. Now with Recorded Delivery you can only trace it when it has not been delivered within 15 days!!!!!!!!
