Boring By Sea
I’ve got most of The Strange Fruit John Peel session eps on vinyl. One of my favourites is this:

Mention to Precious Recordings who are releasing some excellent BBC sessions as eps. Some gatefold 7inch and more recently as 10inch. Got a few of them.

Cheshire Cat

Since the new format i don`t know how to drag and drop , any help would be very welcome thanks (y)

There's the Reds and there's the Greens
Super slicks and has beens
They're accompanied by three men dressed in black
One's a whistle, two are flags, quite often they're the drags
Kick the ball into the goal, they put it back

Yes Match of the Day's
The only way, to spend your Saturday

Each side's eleven men, with numbers on their backs
But at a distance they all tend to look the same
But some own their boutiques, they clean up every week
Inciting riots, causing chaos, such a shame!

But Match of the Day's
The only way
We spend our Saturday

And that's not all, our mates the keepers
Slippin' and sliding in the mud
Arms as long as creepers

Send him off Ref'***!!++??
Where are your specs Ref'+++***!!!
Kick you to death Ref'!!XX**??
Oi! Are you deaf Ref'X*+X*!!?

There's a few things before we go
That I think you ought to know
Obstruction, Body Checking, heavy tackles
So put on your hat and scarf
Have a drink, have a larf'
From the terrace you can see your men do battle

Yes Match of the Day's
The only way
You can spend your Saturday

Don't forget, the trainers with their sponges
Managers with open cheques, liquid business lunches
Send 'im off Ref'***!!++??
Where are your specs Ref'!***&&&!!!
Kick you to death Ref'!!XX**??
Oi! Are you deaf Ref'X&+X&+!!?

Anybody who has ever seen one of my posts in a music thread but be a bit miffed to see me pick Ed Sheeran - No.5 Collaborations Project but let me explain.

It’s January 2011, and a young Singer-Songwriter has been making a buzz for himself in certain circles. Ed Sheeran is judging battles for Don’t Flop, he’s appearing on SBTV & slowly but surely he’s creating a niche for himself.

Then comes his No.5 Collaboration Project. An 8 track EP with some of the biggest up and coming names in the UK Hip-Hop scene. Every track is excellent, but even if “Ed Sheeran but rap” sounds like the worst thing ever then you owe it to yourself to check out ‘Little Lady’ with Mikill Pane.

The song eventually became A Team, but f*ck me this version is one of the biggest gut punches in music.

Some good shouts on here, especially Ride and Curve for me.

I’m adding this to the mix. Throwing Muses self-released debut ep, when they were just an unknown band playing hometown gigs in Rhode Island and occasionally Boston.

In the very early days of eBay, when it was more a genuine auction site than just an online supermarket, I managed to get hold of a copy of this by timing the winning bid to go in one second before the auction closed. Think I paid about $100. Took pride of place in an extensive collection of stuff I used to have back then.

Eventually sold it years later when life changed and circumstances demanded it, for almost $400. But Throwing Muses were one of my favourite bands back in the day, and this will always remind of me that time.

The 1979 independent release that launched them. 43 years still releasing new material and selling out arenas and stadiums around the world:)

Given this some serious thought . That Throwing Muses one was a serious contender as was Sebadoh '4 song', Wedding Present '3 song e.p.'. Guided By Voices 'Tigerbomb', 'Teenage Fanclub Have Lost It' and The Field Mice 'So Said Kay'.

But I'm giving the nod to Pavement, 'Watery Domestic' which edges it because I've got it as a lovely picture disc.
