...in summary, they think we were crap.

That's the worst Brighton team I've seen at the Valley for a long time and we weren't much better in our performance.

They were rubbish. We were more rubbish.

We lost to a vary ordinary team.

Brighton were poor today but they had enough.

Poor today but we had more than enough chances to beat the worst brighton team I have seen for a long time.

Two weak sides, a predictable lack of chances from two very low scoring teams and the outcome determined by a really poor goalkeeping error.

A dour battle between two poor teams that could have gone either way. As it happened they won, but it could have been us.

Brighton. Good support. Crap side. We should have seen them off like we should have seen off so many other crap sides this season.

Brighton were crap, had one chance and scored yet we couldn't find a way to break them down.

A very worrying afternoon, failure to get anything out of a match against a very poor Brighton team gives real cause for concern

three points says it all .

This sums up Brighton and Hove Albion for over 100 years. Nothing changes. You dont support the Albion because of the quality of the team on the pitch.

12 shots, 5 on target.
80% successful pass rate.
28 interceptions.
56.4% possession.

Those are the Brighton stats, their comments must have been made by the sort who don't actually go to games yet comment/criticise about them on message boards, mmm, sounds familiar.

We have rode our luck the last couple of games and thankfully got the result. Desperately need to do some business in this transfer window otherwise we will still be getting ripped apart by teams like Derby, Bournmouth and Ipswich etc.

Our luck is finally changing for the better. We have been very unlucky in previous games so it's a good feeling to be on the other side of it.

Of which only one of those three has ripped us apart this season

With CMS and Baldock as first choice forwards and a midfield lacking creativity we will lose more than win. We were very poor in the last third. We desperately need some creativity and a genuine Championship forward. COG was a pleasant surprise when he came on. The Charlton fans are right though, it was a game between two poor sides and we got the luck. Hasn't happened too often this season, so I'll take it.

We ARE a poor side at the moment though.

We have played some cracking football at The Valley in previous years, especially that awesome 4-0 win under Poyet so it's a fair comment that they say we are poor, in comparison.

I think this is a bit harsh to be honest. I think we are an average team and that we will win some and lose some. We needed to move forward from drawing games we could win and we seem to have done that. Whilst our strikers are not the best I feel that throughout the team we have players who can score. Certainly all the back four have significantly contributed that way this season.

How many average looking teams have mugged us at the Amex over the last few seasons? I've often gone home wishing we had that same ability to play poorly but nick a win. Seems now, maybe we have. All 3 recent victories seem to have followed a similar pattern. Ride out some tough spells, then push on for the points with a successful set piece for the breakthrough (penalty, free kick, free kick). It's not flair but who cares. That comes with confidence.

Brighton, to their credit, did a very professional job. They were not special, and not the best team to come to The Valley this season, but there is a togetherness, an inner-steel and, above all, a little bit of quality in their ranks that will mean relegation fears will soon be a thing of the past.

In other words, everything that is currently missing from Charlton’s side.

It actually makes a good read.

Yeah, seems a bit harsh although poor home crowd so maybe the fans had given up.

When Poyet/Oscar were here, the amount of times we went away and got results (0-1's normally) I remember these sorts of comments on opposition forums pretty much every time.

It's a sign that the tide has turned, good teams get results when they play badly - I'm not saying we are a good team all of a sudden but we've won 3 consecutive away games to teams higher in the league than us, with no goals conceded.
