I've seen it twice now.
I think it's brilliant and is my third favourite star wars film (Empire>Rogue One>TLJ).
I love how Rian Johnson opened it up, although I think the "earth humour" like the caller on hold was a bit off.
Why can't Reys parents they be nobodies? Anakins were (well his mum anyway). Throughout the film there is continual reference to balance. Rey is the counter to Kylo Ren, e.g another force sensitive individual with mega raw power. They can't ALL be Skywalkers. Although there's absolutely nothing to stop her having a crazy back story revealed in episode 9.
Leia flying... Well if her dad was "the chosen one" and her brother can do crazy jedi stuff, then there's no reason why she wouldn't have force related abilities.
I liked how it turned the mega battle concept on it's head plus coupled with the casino visit, it becomes an anti-war and war machinery(arms dealing etc) sentiment.
Star Wars has always been ham fisted with cliches, continuity errors, plot holes and a ton of sentimentality plus it rips off loads of other films. That's why it's popular!!
