I feel sorry for anybody who has no knowledge of music from the 60's, 70's and 80's, especially if they've never listed to Joy Division (and The Smiths).

Luckily for me my Dad is a bit of a legend. Other than family etc, the two great passions in my life - music and the Albion - are all thanks to him.

My 18 year old also loves that music and my passion for synth/dance music.

No indoctrination, I only found out when he told me a couple of years ago. Turns out he'd often Shazam'd the music played from my study .


Myself and my siblings all love music and the radio in general. Something learnt from my Dad who loved Bowie, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tubular Bells, classical, et seq.

Contentious i know but it the fact when it was posted it was 44 years to the day.
Of course there are a lot of contenders out there, but it was "of the time".
When it was released it was mind blowing sit up and hear it, it was a breath of fresh air being different to anything else being released at the time.
It was complete different and changed peoples outlook.
