Possible end of season aggro re: Swansea?

Our last game of the season is at home to Swansea, who are run-away leaders of the division and will go up, unless they seriously implode

Will the league give them their trophy the week before when they are at home to Orient?

Loads of Swans fans will make the trip and I'm sure a few will be in our sections...and last game of the season, with a promotion to boot, always brings a few loons out

Anyone else on here remember the game at the Goldstone when Port Vale came down to clinch the league championship? Could have got very nasty at the whistle on the pitch but fizzled out very quickly

I had a Mansfield fan next to me in the North stand at the cup game so I suppose there's an outside chance some Swan's fan will end up next to me.

Shame cos I can't slag off the opposition when I'm sat right next to an away fan

Well, if we're still in with a shout for playoffs, we'd probably sell out so there wouldn't be able to be many fans in our section anyway.

Why? I was sat in front of a Southend fan earlier this season and made sure that my support for the Albion and criticism of the opposition was even more vociferous than usual. I even gave him the middle finger (a la Craig Davies today) and an "Up yours pal" when Hammond hit the late winner.
If away fans choose to sit amongst home fans they should expect banter- or worse.

They would not CHOOSE to! It would probably be the only way they could see the game.

By the way banter is fine, but anything worse than that is not to be expected unless of course someone is being provoked.

It was interesting to go to the Lewes -v- Bishops Stortford game last Saturday. One team playing to stay on top of the table, the opposition battling for a play-off position.

Fans of both sides mixing on the same terrace. Very noisy away supporters. Plenty of banter. Alcohol easily available and being drunk during the game.

No trouble.

i doubt there'll be any 'agro' but if they have anything riding on the game we're f***ed

i suspect they'll have the league sewn up by then though

It's only a problem if there's someone on the "other" side prepared to fight them, surely...?

Mind you, bearing in mind they'll probably have just won the league, it's a bank holiday weekend, and the weather's likely to be half decent, I can see a few deciding to extend their stay in Brighton a little. So expect groups of pissed Welshmen staggering around West Street that night, singing loudly and chatting up the hen parties. Yippee.

Vale only had that many because they had to get a result i think + the Goldstone away section held about 7,000 for them.

There will be loads of fans trying to get tickets ,as I know a Swansea fan who asked me to get a ticket. He said there's some people coming over from Holland as well.

I've stood on the terrace at the Dripping Pan watching Lewes -v- Newport County with no segregation of supporters and had the same peaceful time.

Same when i go and watch Bromley. you often get all the fans in the same pub before hand as well never seen any trouble. only time i can remember it kicking off was the CrystalPalace v AFC Wimbledon match .. no suprises really
