I agree Gallagher is a good player, but, I didn’t think he was tonight.
Mac had him in his pocket until Lallana went off,
Hughes, on the other hand, was their best player, he surprised me how good he looked.

My heart stopped when he took out Mac Allister from behind. He was lucky it was only a booking. A disgraceful challenge on a fellow footballer.

We played them off the park and they got very lucky. Simples. We have got a fantastic team and squad and should be very proud of them. We are making real progress in the best league in the world and have a good chance of improving to mid table or top half. I think life is just wonderful.

Based on tonight's game, this is the season when we will finally finish above Palace.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this. We know that somehow that rabble always lands on their feet, like when we finished above them last time but they knocked us out of the play offs and got promoted. I can just see that we’ll finish above them but they’ll win the bloody FA Cup.

Looking rationally, I think we will comfortably. 4 points and a game in hand is obviously a good start, and there was nothing about last night that suggested that they were going to get more points than us over their next 17 games.

Hughes looks the player you thought he had the potential to become at Derby.

It'll finally encourage the addition of a striker who can finish off the chances that we don't score.

Gross taking the pen was a mystery he has hardly been playing at least Maupay or Mac have some power and have both been form players of late pathetic pen.

I just couldn't understand why Gross took the penalty. When was the last one he took for us? Either MacAllister or Maupay would have been the obvious choice. Who made the decision? And why?

We missed umpteen chances. This is why we need a striker to at least compete with Maupay (one who isn’t injured a lot of the time).

Couldn’t understand why gross was on free kicks either when MacAllister has shown to have a better end product.

None of us could work out why Gross took the penalty, I thought he was out of the rotation after missing his previous one, saying that he’s not the only one to miss one recently (from memory?)

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. There is something badly wrong there and it needs fixing if we are ever going to turn possession into points.

I’m frankly delighted I didn’t win my bet.

I enjoyed last night bar the frustration of not seeing them off. Yes a few dicks but didn't see any real trouble and a fairly smooth journey to and from the stadium. Good atmosphere too, not as tense as usual i didn't think so it felt louder. 1One of the better BHA v Palace Amex fixtures

I'll keep saying this but Palace ain't all that. They've accumulated points on the back of a win at a lacklustre City and been gifted wins at home by Tottenham and Everton. Olise and Eze were a shodow of what we are led to believe they are. Mitchell wilted when Tariq came on too and Palace had to double-up on him. And Hughes is still the snide I remember from Derby. He should gave seen red for that lunge on Mac Allister. We are a joy to watch in comparison to that lot
