Up against possibly the most prolific attacking team in the PL plus the 12th man, or 'friend' - and we shut them down.

Only the **** in black and a Gross scythe saved the scousers.

Beware Man U.

Not happy, but proud of the boys. We're gonna be fine. :albion2:

Agreed.

Loved the way Locadia and March kept their much-admired wingbacks quiet, both had excellent games defensively

They didn’t have a shot on goal in the first half

Gross had a very good game - he’s not getting the same profile now he’s dropped back into a midfield 3 but he put in a hell of a shift. It’s also allowed Propper to be more creative like he is for the Dutch.

Button is a decent enough back up

D&D did what they always do, so solid. Bong’s defending was very good

Decent run of games coming up now........good chance to cement safety by say end Feb.

Almost pivotal three games after the cup match

Some of his touchline to touchline passing today was magnificent.

This ball to Gross early in the second half was absolutely sublime.

Last season was 5-1 and today they needed a pen to beat us -shows our improvement.

They had at least one man running the lines too.

Seen another post about Klopp influencing the ref to give a free kick for hand ball in the second half. Ref and lino both unsighted, big shout from LFC, Klopp fills his huggy and hey presto, Cuntie Mc****stain gives them a free kick. ******* joke.

0-1 vs 1-5 last season. Can't think of a single greater positive. Reduced Liverpool to a laboured win via a meh penalty. If that's not a huge level of progress, don't know what is

Exactly, it's also heartening to see us take games to the opposition as well as defend, which we've been doing for a month or two, a marked improvement since The games vs Leicester and Cardiff for example.

Never happy to lose but happy with our approach

A few ‘wows’ were heard around where we sit. He’s looking better and better.

Around me he is the master at generating:-

"who was that... ...oh what a pass"

Sadly I still have to put up with "kick it forward Stephens" & "push up".

Dunk proving that against some proper top draw strikers he is up to the job. I hope Gareth was watching because that was an international performance right there. Would do a great job alongside Duffy.

I am amazed no one, especially Man Utd has not come in and tried to him and for that matter Duffy as well.

A positives thread has morphed into a bitterness thread, as Harveys/lager hangovers kick in.

Positives:
1. CH has turned our team into one capable of competing with anyone (other than the world class of football Chelsea and ManC who always kick our arse).

2. Great defence.

3. Locadia and Knockaert are looking bloody good.

4. After ManU so many winnable matches lie ahead.
