In the end an excellent away point at a ground we have really struggled at (6-1 last season anyone!). I think the vast majority would have taken a point before kick off.

Not the best performance but some positives:

- Lamptey excellent and adding goals
- Mitoma gets a small rest and Adingra scores again when starting on the left.
- Two Pedro assists, the second a lovely one.
- The managers changes made a difference so fair play. It’s a tough time of year for squad fitness.
- Veltman got a rest
- One game closer to getting some experience back. We really need a Welbeck or Milner to steady the nerves. Even a fit Weiffer would have been very useful today
- we showed resilience in the face of adversity
- despite being on a poor run we aren’t losing many and are still in a handful of points of Europe
- one back versus the tracker.

What did I miss…

A point gained rather than two lost. But there's no poll for that yet!
Still two lost after we took the lead, again! If we had gone behind first, it would have been a point gained. This is my opinion which, in the grand scheme of things, is not worth worrying over

My slow body of moving water meant we missed their goals & only have a minor clue that a penalty was involved in one of them & we still had 11 players on the pitch. We saw both our goals.
Lamptey is getting quick again.
I didn't burn dinner & we didn't lose! 🙂

So does that count as a 2-0 win?

Baleba getting even better - gets around the pitch so much and gets us out of danger.🔥

Dunk excellent after some regular game time again, after being written off by the bed wetters.👌

Tariq the same. Was written off by the bed wetters and played great today.👌

Fab forced into changes today, but made it work and made subs at the right time. We could have won it.👌

We didn't lose at Villa.🔥

No new injuries. 🙌🥳

Minteh, Gruda, Ayari etc. are all aged 20/21 and for what anyone says, broadly holding their own today in the PL against a Champions league team. For many they're still settling into the league/team/country and getting first regular minutes. That's pretty amazing. 🤩

I've said this a few times, but if the bed wetters can remember Balebas first 6 months and where he is now. Now think of our young signings and what the future holds.😎

Hopefully this result will get more supporters supporting and being positive, instead of the sea of negativity so many post.🤞

Let's start the new year on a high and looking upwards! 🎉
