One question. Why didn't RDZ bring Baleba on earlier? Just the player we needed for ALL of the second half.
Billy Gilmour was a tad frustrating too tonight, full of energy but just goes backwards too often. OK in the league, but when you need many goals.

I hope we can persuade Lallana to stay 1 more year. He is excellent at linking play, even if he does run out of puff

Sussex but not by the sea
Lallana was the best player on the pitch first half.
JPvH was immense.
Dunk was excellent in a match which must have been hard for him given last week.
Pervis was back to being the LB of last season.
Bart has kept 2 clean sheets in a row.
Gilmour and Gross controlled much of the match.
Welbeck was superb for an hour.
Roma got to meet the real BHA just sadly a week late.

A really good spirited performance full of chatacter. Interestingly enough plenty of chances to actually win the tie. Missing the killer touches and proper difference making players in March and Mitoma and not quite fully fit Enciso.

We have enough here, and enough momentum after two spirited home wins of completely different types to push again for Europe next year.

Definitely got my mojo back after tonight and the atmosphere was great.

Lewis Dunk’s performance. Up there with some of his brightest for the club on the biggest stage.

Shoe in for a squad place in the Euros.

roma fan here. thanks for the games guys. having heard about how the efl cup goes for big teams i was a bit surprised you didn't score more against our c/b team but in your defense, you're missing your top players and our back four and gk were are starters. positives for you to take away: you guys definitely won the banner wars. some of our low-iq fans insulted the queen, you guys said our king likes hawaiian pizza. that is absolutely hilarious, classier, and a much bigger insult than what we said lmao. had a good chuckle over that one. glad to see the loyal fans stick around for the end and your players talking with our players. your club making complaints after getting outplayed and the plastic fans leaving the stadium early seemed in bad taste but it was nice to see there's some class in brighton, english fans get such a bad rap everywhere else for not being actual fans. you guys seem to be a cut above the others. your stadium seemed to have a better atmosphere than any match we've played against man city, chelsea, or utd. i'll be rooting for you guys to make it back to europe. i'm not gonna watch a premier league match it's like watching above-average athletic youth teams play but you'll be in my thoughts at least :)

Roma fan chucked out of WSU as everyone turned on him very early on

Oh and as he was doing the walk of shame under escort I told him to f*** off in Italian no less
Just in front of me. A few of us gave him serious grief and made sure the steward did his job.

Also - we did our bit for the English UEFA coefficient, almost level with Germany and we have 6 teams left to their 3. If Leverkusen hadn't scored twice late on we'd be home and hosed. 8th hopefully good enough for Europe next season.

I've just invented a time machine and I'm about to head back to 1997 to explain to myself why we're unhappy that we've just beaten AS Roma 1-0 in a major European competition.

No one left because they wanted to, it's just that we have shite trains and transport. Ham, mushroom and pineapple pizza is amazing have you actually tried it? 😁

made it back to Bridge Car Park at 11:25pm after being held in WSL at about 10:20 to 10:50 then by Police for another 30 minutes or so by Ticket Office - can understand why leaving early if that's what happens when you stay to the end of games these days

We don't have to play shithouses again this season. Roma can go home to the cesspit that is Italian football.

100% and took the wrong person off, sorry but Gross was stifling the movement too much
