the Beeb report :

'Nicky Forster came off the bench to 'hand' boss Steve Coppell three points on his return to the Withdean, a win that takes Reading into the play-off places.'

They obviously do not understand the irony !!!:(

Positives -

1. I was working til 9 so missed all the first half and half of the second.

2. I watched the remainder of the game in the pub, so didn't have to sit in the Withdean rain.

3. I was at the bar when they scored, so missed the soft goal that could've been dealt with by any of 3 players.

On the replay the ball came off the chest - not sure what happened first time round though...

I was pissed off from last night's game, but there is a side of me that doesn't give a stuff if we go down. That's not disloyalty or apathy, it's a sense of relief and gratitude that - somehow - we are still in existence, and a sense that getting Falmer is a FAR more important result than anything we achieve in the league this season.

How many people, back in August, thought we would be in this position at this stage of the season?

Still cheesed off, though.
