At the end of my tether
Last night they could only manage a goal from a penalty and a freak one that had missed it's target , rebounded off the crossbar and hit our goalkeeper to bounce in.....At least we made a good goal from forward play.

We had ,according to the stats , a lot more possession and more shots. I can see us winning up there. 1 - 0 will do, then extra time and penalties.

Anyway, WE are the Albion ! On our day we can beat anybody . Keep the faith - we walk in hope and expectation.........:albion2:

No one is doubting that you had more possession, way more shots on target etc (and I think you'd struggle to find any realistic Rams fans who would have felt hard done by if you had won) but, what matters is 2 goals to 1. No offence intended but you can have 80% possession and 50 shots on target to our 5 if you like but they count for nothing if you don't score the goals.

Beside which, we're talking about the second leg at Derby not last night and, whilst I still think it could either way, it will be a much more even contest than last night.

Agree, we'll happily take a penalty and a fluke and 2-0 :albion2:

Which is fair enough except for how lucky your second goal was. You can't legislate for that. And it looks like we should have had a penalty.

We're due a bit of luck on Sunday. We've played you three times this season and each time you've been a bit lucky to win by one goal.

Second only to QPR and Leicester in the league for hit woodwork.

The opposition can't beat us without a second keeper.

Only positives for Sunday is that we don't deserve to be in the play-offs in the first place, and that Derby made us look seriously second-best last night.

So we'll win it on a penalty shoot-out yay!!! :albion:

Even their fans don't think that. How can you make a team look "seriously second best" yet only have one shot on target (from a penalty) all game? Bizarre!

Okay, so you've given up the argument. Facts are on my side. Look at the stats.

Ignoring that, outside the two goals, Kuszczak didn't make a save. Not sure, even if you count it as two shots on target, you're original argument is backed up.

Sorry mate, but you're being a clown. How on earth do you think the ball ended up hitting the bar and bouncing down and hitting Kuszczak on the back of the neck and going into the net, if not for a shot on goal? Act of God maybe? Try watching what you're seeing, rather than rely on stats.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Bizarre that you think that a team that only had 'one shot on target' somehow managed to win 2-1 shirley?

Look at the stats. An own goal does not count as a shot on target.

Neither does a penalty so the one shot on target was a save by Kuszczak. The own goal came from Derby hitting the crossbar which is off target.

A positive is that we have won our East Midland games against Leicester and Forest, so let's make it a round three.
