Alzate came on and, even though it looked like a training match, did enough to remind anyone he should really be starting.

That run by March out of defence and then the ball to create one of our two early chances was fantastic.

Other than Veltman and Bissouma again the great news is Alzate cant be shagging Potters wife and will hopefully get more time in the centre

Got to watch courtesy of the 30 day free trial, so cost me nothing (except emotionally of course).

You’re stretching it tonight..

Real answer, Veltman looked very classy, and seems to get better every time he plays. Alzate still exists.

Twisted answer, I think it may be a good thing if this result forces Potter to address the keeper situation.

Potter said before transfer window closed " we don't need to spend on players, it's all about improving the players we have", be great to know when this is going to happen, because we are going backwards, we are still desperate for a left back, a goalie, a centre midfielder that can create and someone who can put the ball in the net, but the way we are going this squad will be great for the championship.

From a playing perspective:
Veltman, March, Bissouma had strong performances.
I'm assuming Potter decided to throw that game and keep Lamptey/Lallana ready for winnable games.
Jahanbaksh forcing a save from a half chance - not trying intricate 1-2s instead
March's pass for the above. Shows if players are available he can find them
MArch taking on his man and beating him easily (twice)

Good to see Jahanbaksh/Alzate/McAllister get some game time.
