It’s incredible. Nearly every Pompey fan they show seated in the front rows around the stadium look like they’re one disputed throw in away from ripping someone’s head off.

Saints wide players are clearly intimidated

But not Ings. 0-1

Pompey are absolutely dire at the moment, can’t see them getting anything.

They’re missing Matt Clarke a lot apparently!
Almost forgot about him.

They two really don't like each other, its more toxic than us and Palace
Us and Palace is pretty toxic. I can't imagine their rivalry being any more toxic.

Come on Saints, bury 3 more second half and watch the Pompey fans burst.

Really?

They go way way back to dock strikes, when Southampton broke the picket, hence Scummers.

Southampton love Pompey the same, calling Pompey The Skates.

The Skate being the fish that has the same vagina feeling, closest to a woman, when shagged. They reckon the Pompey sailors would nail the skate to some wood and shag it.

Ours is merely a little squabble compared to theirs. They have history behind it.

but Skate is a general term for royal navy sailors. like ponges is the Army as they did not wash so any where the Army goes the Pong Goes. I had a brother in the navy based at Portsmouth and the local youths hated the Sailors so I think it is more of a piss take as a lot of Sailors would attend their games

Skate is the local Pompey slang used for Sailors in Her Britannic Majesty’s Royal Navy. A young lady that enjoys the company of Sailors in the aforementioned Royal Navy are colloquially known as ‘Skate bait’
I, myself, had the dubious pleasure of being addressed as a skate on numerous occasions, and, indeed, had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of more than a handful of skate bait during a very enjoyable early life.

Fair play to Pompey drowning out the SCC fans at the end. That song sounds so much better at the slow speed they sing it too.

In other matches, Colchester has gone to penalties against Spurs, and Crawley v Stoke have penalties too.

Edit Colchester win 4-3 on pens

And sadly had that been us down 0-4 at the Amex against Palace the home stands would be very sparsely populated. An impressive show by the Pompey fans, relatively few empty spaces at full time.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.
