To make things even funnier, they borrowed Wes Thomas from Bournemouth (the ex Crawley guy, was very successful at Crawley, couldn't hit a barn door at AFCB). Thomas scores a few at Pompey and was becoming quite popular. Eddie Howe then comes back to Bournemouth, and, just because he can, immediately recalled Thomas to Dean Co...the Fitness Fir...what the hell is their ground called these days please? He hasn't really played since then, which rather suggests that AFCB simply did it to spite Pompey.

Imagine losing one of your best players, against your will, to BOURNEMOUTH, after all those years of being one of the South Coast's bigger fish

To be fair, ours plummeted to much lower levels when strife came our way.

However, one could attribute that to years of decline and a rather unsavoury place to take families.
