Probably the best result for us but a Swindon win wouldnt have been a disaster either. Just to keep every one below us at arms lengths is the main thing now.
Somehow Vale never seem to want an easy life!! What a game... should have coasted to victory, but fair play to Swindon, they didn't lay down and die like a lot of teams would have. Still, it keeps us in with a chance!!!!!!
Just the sort of result which could provoke a monumental collapse from Vale. Confidence must be shattered, morale on the floor, a devastating way to throw away two hugely crucial points for them...can they recover from this ?
Now we've got rid of Horton we can, yes. He would have shouted and screamed at our very young squad, and shattered their confidence even further. Martin Foyle has done wonders with the young players since he took over and knows what makes them tick, unlike Horton who often said "I just don't know what motivates these players".
We have just played 3rd and 4th and come away with 4 pts, which we would have been very happy with beforehand.
I'm certainly not disregarding Vale. You'd be tough playoff opponents, not much to choose between the teams, both games ending up 1-1. A playoff against your lot could go either way.
I'd rather you just fade away, and let us have Bornmuff instead.
