Whats the best result for us tonight then ?

A Swindon win puts them 4 points ahead of us in 4th, but maintains a 4 point gap between us and 7th.

A Port Vale win puts them 1 point behind us into 6th.

A draw keeps Swindon within striking distance, and brings Vale within 3 points of us but with a far inferior GD.

I'd take the draw, or if you beat me repeatedly round the head with a heavy blunt instrument and insisted I choose another result, I'd take a Swindon win...definately don't want a Vale victory.

we wont make Auto IMO so a Swindon win giving us breathing space to 7th. The sooner we get play-off certainty the better, otherwise a Draw.

Everytime teams draw points are lost from the table. I always hope every game is a draw apart from ours.

oh and Palace of course...

A draw would clearly be ideal, but as I'm more worried about staying in the play-offs than catching the teams considerably above us, a Swindon win 1-0 would be OK

Bollocks. I voted for a Port Vale win and had a nice speach lined up about how it PAINED me to wish them dirty northern fuckers any sort of success.

However, having thought about it again, I would now prefer a Swindon win. Reason for this is there is more chance of us slipping out the play-offs than there is of grabbing second spot and so would prefer us cement a place in the top six rather than go all out for an automatic place.

So, in short, for 'A win for Port Vale please' read 'A win for Swindon please'.

I think a draw will be the best score, as if we finish above swindon we can have a better advantage over them regarding when we play them (if it's them we end up with)

Anything but a Vale win.

I have to say a draw. From my armchair i figure that bar the unlucky last-minute defeat at Wednesday, we've been on a good run. No reason why we cant still make maybe 3rd?

But if i had to choose a winner yes it has to be Swindon to give us breathing space..:bhasign:
