This is a difficult one to decide, I would love to see Adams get Vale promoted but I also want Rotherham toget relegated as I despise evans so would be happy for Oxford to get some points

Jake Wright looking a very capable defender, admittedly at this level..........and our Jake having a very quiet game, hardly involved.Cant see Gus being too impressed....hopefully 2nd half he will get into the game

Found it all rather sad. MA seems a different person tonight as compared to his last stint with us . Then he was a dead man walking , bereft of tactics, ideas.
Seeing Andy Whing coming on as a sub for the last quarter reminded me of his glorious season when he won player of the season award. Ok, he was no Championship player but have fond memories of his buccaneering style.

Ah well, we have come a long way since those Withdean days.

Really impressed with Myrie Williams, looks a good player, strong attacking instincts, could play at a higher level

:clap2: hope you backed this?

I really hope you put some dosh on that mate. :clap2: Scorecast must have been around 40/1?

Gentlemen I hold up my hands and admit to backing Pope 1-0, Pope 2-0 AND Pope 3-0. I had a nice round pound on each and yes, Durlston, it was exactly 40/1 (I just checked). I saw Pope score the first (had a free fiver on him scoring first!) and invested the money Ernest won me via the horse earlier on, on Port Vale winning outright at 5/6 (which was massive value anyway). Overall, a thoroughly pleasant day's betting. Makes the blow of missing the Middlesbrough game that little bit less cruel.

Adams is doing well at the moment under difficult circumstances. He deserved his Manager of the month award and probably a cuddle as well.

This. I think he hot neck ache he spent so long looking in the air!

With respect to Oxford, they're missing a few key players and it does make a big difference at that level when your better players are missing at the same time. I also think it will be a good education for JFC to play in a team which doesn't keep posession as we do, it'll round out his footballing intelligence to play in a team which doesn't value control of the game as we do, so when he comes back Gus and the coaches won't have to drill into him the value of keeping the ball and maintaining control over the game because he's seen from his own experiences with Oxford what happens when you aren't in control. They're losing a lot of games at the moment and with all due respect to Oxford, I'm glad in a way because it's very good experience for JFC. Being around a losing team is just as important in development as being in a winning one. This experience can only make him a better prospect all round.
