Jim Gannon left at motorway services after blazing row on Port Vale team bus | Mail Online
Port Vale boss Jim Gannon has been stranded at a motorway service station after a bizarre bust-up on the team bus. The coach was en-route to Aldershot for Saturday's League Two fixture when trouble flared between Gannon and assistant boss Geoff Horsfield. Following the extraordinary row, Gannon was dropped off at a service station in the West Midlands.
He was later picked up by car and driven back to Vale Park for talks with chairman Bill Bratt.
And in another bizarre twist, former Birmingham City striker Horsfield was later dropped of at another service station further south - and was also believed to be heading back to the Potteries club. Vale have won just two games since Gannon took charge on January. Earlier in the month senior players met with club directors to complain about Gannon's handling of team affairs. Chairman Bill Bratt said: 'It is an internal matter and will be dealt with on Monday.' It is not clear whether Gannon or Horsfield will be present at the match at Aldershot's Recreation Ground.
