Us too I'm afraid. Put in the saucepan the evening before, brought gently to the boil and allowed to simmer for the 10 minutes it takes to buy the two daily newspapers. Then evap, semiskimmed and a spoon of demarara on top, papers propped against the pint tea mugs and away we go. Breakfast is truly a thing of beauty in our house.

1 cup of oats, 2 cups of milk and a pinch of salt to taste. Chuck it in a pan and simmer away. Served with a dollop of butter and some brown sugar for me. Very tasty.

Another thread? Anyway I like mine with raisins, sultanas and cinnamon. or just with brown sugar. Tbh anything goes really.
