Way out west
Most of the above plus last of the summer wine, I always thought that it portrayed northerners as incredibly stupid, which we all know they aren't.

sex and the city - watched the very first episode the fitst time it was shown on channel 4 cos I was about 14 and it had the word 'sex' in the title. However, in the first epsiode, there is no sex. So, being the age i was, i lost interest.

Royle Family - not that i didn't like it, i have never watched so don't know if i like it.

Blackadder - same as royle family.

ER, Casualty, Holby City etc. - hospital dramas don't do it for me.

any of the soaps (except Hollyoaks and Neighbours) - too much effort to watch them every day and are boring anyway. Hollyoaks and Neighbours can be watched about once a week and you still know what is going on.

as for films:
Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter
The Matrix

I don't really like sci fi/fantasy.

Far, far too many too mention, but quite a few of my bete noirs have had a namecheck on this thread. Apart from 'Frasier' I think I agree with almost every one. Good call Easy 10 on OFAH, however as you say criticising it can get you locked up in the Tower.

OFAH - one belly laugh every 500 episodes....guaranteed!
Dad's Army
League of Gentlemen

Whilst I would have to defend The Office and say that it is the dogs, Series Two is just painful viewing at times, rather than full of laughs.

All soaps except Neighbours (I agree with the sentiment above above about picking up story lines and they're not too contraversial)

Any films. I think going to the cinema or watching a film on tv is a total waste of time. I'd rather read a book.

Most comedies made in the last 10 years. I like the old ones like Dad's Army, Porridge etc.

Last of the Summer & Allo Allo! :censored: :censored:

About as funny as syphillis!

Film wise i think all the LOTR are seriously overated and the first two Marix films are just a triumph of style over any real substance.

Saturday night TV is obviously a punishment by the TV companies for people staying in

TV-

Ab Fab - Not funny, it's annoying. There is a major difference.
Friends - Mae by Girls, for Girls. Fair enough, but I'm not one!
Only Fools and Horses - amusing at times, but have to agree with Easy 10 - f*ck knows how it got legendary status?

Films -

Chinatown - meant to be a classic, I thought it was pap.
Matrix reloaded - rubbish (the whole series thinks it is far cleverer than it is!)
Pearl Harbour - A smash a the box office, absolute crap.

Probably loads more, but my work phone just rang and put me of off rant mode!

Huh! I think you'll find it bombed at the box office. Aside from a cheesy obvious love story it was also evident that US cinema goers didn't like to be so vidily reminded of how they were caught with their pants down at Pearl Harbour.

Shame on the previous poster who has never watched Blackadder

I hated the Scary Movie films - I have watched all three thinking I must be missing something. Each time I went to the cinema, people were falling about but I didn't find the films at all funny.

Only Fools and Horses is massively overrated. Well written, well acted and generally pleasant viewing but where on earth is the humour? Del Boy saying "plonker" a few times and that "hilarious" falling over seen. Dear me.:nono:

Scary Movie is popular?!??? I f***ing hope not. Inexcusably bad films (only seen one but happily speaking for all three).
