They're just as fickle as anyone else, it just gets on my tits how "special" he says they are up there. They are no more or less passionate / fickle than the fans of any other football team.

1. all clubs have their arseholes.......the newcastle fans i know (living here) are fine

2. what other club would get 50,000 as a lower mid table side, let alone a relegation threatened side

3. no club would get 50,000 in the championship, thats obvious, they'd still have by FAR the biggest gates though

Maybe its been sentimental for the time when someone as enthusiastic as Keegan (i.e. Chris Cattlin) managed the Albion. I for one want to see him succeed just to prove that for once childish enthusiasm and love for the game club and supporters can triumph. Having shit players and little tactical sense don't help though I guess!
