If Pompey were playing anyone else (bar Palace), I'd want them to get thrashed. But as it's Cardiff and I'm in Cardiff and can't stand the prospect of more Welsh gloating if they win, I'm going to have to go for Pompey, much as it sickens me to do so.

It's a no-brainer, Cardiff for me, in fact I'd probably support Cardiff against most English clubs. I find the whole anti-Welsh thing a bit bemusing to be honest, yes they sing anti-English songs, but it's only football banter. For a Welsh club to lift the cup would be a pretty refreshing change in my book.

Oh and yes Pompey are scum.

Oh look, and even as I write, here comes another FA Cup build up snippet on South Today...deep joy.

Is correct in every sense.

I'm fed up with having to endure Meridian and BBC South absolutely CREAMING themselves over Pompey's revival in recent years. The FA Cup final song? Give it a slot on the evening news. 'Arry gets a new suit? Lets discuss it on air for ten minutes! Assuming they win, after- Man United excepted- the easiest run to the final EVER- mark my words, you won't be able to switch on the TV for YEARS without talk of limited edition DVDS, special tribute programmes and campaigns to get Droopy made a Knight of the Realm.

I'm fed up with listening to that shyster banging on about how hard done by he is (mud sticks, Harry), hearing him lay on the excuses when they lose and claiming to be a miracle worker when they win. FFS they pay Campbell something like £80,000 a week, Diarra £65,000 and Defoe- who knows, so it's hardly the shoestring budget he likes the media to think he has, is it?

Ideally, I want both teams to lose- perhaps a nil nil draw followed by the game being abandoned due to Redknapp and Jones having a punch up over who was more wrongfully arrested in the past, and both sets of fans being refused entry to the stadium owing to their being tossers.

Failing that prospect, I'm reluctantly going for Cardiff.

Good rant....I'm starting to sway Welsh on this at the mo'.

I think its a shame really. For years we have wanted the big boys to miss out and a couple of the others to make it to the final but no way would I pick those two.
Cant stand either of them.

If there is a God, he will grant Cardiff a last minute, highly disputed penalty winner tomorrow, causing Harry Redknapp to spontaneously combust with twitching rage, and forcing Meridian TV to reluctantly zoom in on thousands of weeping, heavily tattooed thugs wearing £5.50 blue jester hats, slinking miserably back to Hampshire having missed out on the biggest gift of an FA Cup final EVER.

Please, oh great one, make it happen

How can any true Sussex person even consider supporting Pompey?

Soon as the Albion get a level playing field i.e. a decent stadium and investors smart enough to realise the untapped potential of the club and splash the cash to unleash that potential, we'll SOAR. Not that many years ago that we were beating the likes of Cardiff and Reading. We will do again. They're nothing special, they've just been bankrolled in a way that hasn't been available to us, up til now.
