It would appear the Football League are wise to this.

Don't worry , the Portsmouth Supporters Trust might be able to buy Pompey with a very large donation from someone who doesn't want their identity revealed

@skysportsnews- Football League say Portsmouth must start next season with 10-point deduction as part of conditions of membership offer.

Looks like an already tough season has just got tougher. :lolol:

Excellent news

I hate Portsmouth but I'd be so much more sympathetic if the total wankers in their fanbase hadn't sung "you've never won f*** all" at us last season.

The Portsmouth Supporters trust should be walking away from that club now and starting afresh, like AFC Wimbledon.

Pompey have announced their plans to stage talks with the Football League to ‘reverse’ their 10-point deduction next season.

Blues administrator Trevor Birch has spoken of his disappointment at the sanction placed on the club by the League.

The League have offered membership to the club’s new owners for the 2012-13 campaign - subject to a number of conditions.

That includes starting with the points loss - which Birch feels is unfair.

He said: ‘We are extremely disappointed that the Football League has decided to impose yet another penalty on the club.

‘The fans, players and staff have suffered enough for something for which they weren’t responsible. We feel it is unjustified for the club to be punished further.

‘We will have further discussions with the League in order to explore whether we can give them more comfort, particularly with regards to the old CVA creditors, and thereby have the decision reversed in respect of a points deduction.’

It would be hilarious if the FL deducted a further 10 points for Pompey taking the piss

Ok. I'll accept Pompey not being punished further and agree that the 10 point deduction should be waived

As long as PFC agree to their recent FA Cup win being expunged from the records and their Premier League parachute payments being cancelled forever.

That seems fair.

Chanrai took them into admin last time and he is still there like a bloody pariah feeding off the corpse of the club and taking back ownership to get what he says he is owed. To say that those responsible are no longer there is stretching credulity beyond all reasonable limits.

Birch - a man who is earning millions from the club's misfortune and who will be paid in full ahead of all the staff whose dismissal he has overseen and the businesses who have been offered a penny in the pound - was the man who decided that those still owed a paltry 20p in the pound from the last administration should have no say in accepting the new "deal" which reduced their payment to around a penny. Those people saw nothing of their promised 20p - they will probably see nothing of the penny either but I'm sure they feel that they should have been able to voice their opposition even if it meant nothing. Now he wants to do a u-turn when it means nothing? Really? Even the Portsmouth fans no longer believe him.

BOF to the deluded Pompey fans 2008
I daresay you are going to have some serious problems on the horizon if Gaydamak is keen to jump ship. You must have a pretty hefty wage bill and problems with the stadium beckoning. How long will 'arry stay if he is not granted his annual warchest to splash about?

Yes.Yes.Yes. About a nanosecond. Truly BOF is a latterday Nostradamus - except that his predictions were specific and that anyone capable of rational thought could have made them. (not a dig at BOF, one at PFC fans

I cannot believe this is still going on. Where is AFC Portsmouth? What is the matter with these people?

I think they may have stopped now, but the 'best fans in the world' have long claimed to be a bigger club than us.

Their highest average attendance while in the Premier League - 20108 (2003/4)
Our average attendance last season - 20029 (If only 80 more STHs had bothered to turn up each game)
Portsmouths attendance last season - 15016 (not bad considering)
