Is there a chance their previous owner can wind up with it, if portsmouth miss payments or something?

Perhaps they are being financed by Wonga.com

Lets hope they get their 36,000 all seater stadium that is built in the middle of the harbour and looks like a giant fanny. It's what their long suffering and incredibly loyal fans deserve.

A requirement in any Pompey related thread.

The filename made me chuckle slightly too.

It's a good job he's got that badge that says "I'm a Pompey supporter" on his hat. It kind of removes any sort of ambiguity.

To be honest, someone should replace it with a badge that says "I f***ing STINK" as this is an aspect of his persona that doesn't come across quite so well through the medium of a photograph. But then how would we know he was a Portsmouth supporter?

To be honest, if he's going to walk around Portsmouth sporting Pompey gear, long shit hair, stubble and loads of tatoos, the one badge he really needs, to remove any ambiguity, is one which reads "I am a man".

I am not so sure - have you seen that blokes face under his right armpit - every picture tells a story.

Here, there and everywhere
"we are checking their credentials to see if they fulfil all the criteria for the Football League" - sounds dodgy already

"We are trying to scope out who they are and if they have the ambition and ability to take the club forward once and for all"

"Proof of funds has been done and we are fairly satisfied that they have the finances to take the club forward" - doesn't sound convincing

"The Football League will do the work they need to do to satisfy themselves that these people are fit and proper"

"There are one or two individuals but one prominent individual and he has not been linked with the club before"

The bit about 'being fairly satisfied' they have the funds sounds ominous!

Bill Archer or some shady character of similar ilk I would think.

So it seems there are a couple of individuals who have been connected before (Russian perhaps?) and one who hasn't - a Russian with a different name? Sounds like one of Bates's tricks using a different company but under the same control.

Given their track record any views on who it will be? It will have to be someone clean to get through the 'fit and proper' test and someone with cash....

Maybe Bernie Madoff.......

When you see this thread on the board, the first thing you look at is the date.
It could be from any year going back ten years.

I didnt used to give much of a toss about our near neighbours, but since they keep celebrating one dodgy new owner after another without ever insisting the owner ought to a least have been to the shitty town at least once in the past, I'm beginning to take a dislike to them.

(not on a Croydon scale you understand)

Sh!te club, sh!te fans, sh!te ground, sh!te city.

Bunch of DNA-challenged inbred benefit cheats.

Only one team in Hampshire. (and one in Sussex too).
