Pearce will have cost them peanuts, they are owed a sell on clause of 50% from that deal. Varney is interesting as I would have thought he would cost about £750k at least.

I think they may still be owed some money from Pearce going to Bournemouth in the first place and they definitely had a 50% sell-on clause so any deal will have been very advantageous to them. I doubt they will be paying more than £250-300K.
Varney is rumoured to be costing £750K.
I know that they have improved their situation so may have some cash but am I wrong in thinking their CVA terms still apply so there is a cap on the wages they can pay out linked to income generated? It's certainly why they had a restricted first team squad last season to the extent that they had to hide players in the youth squad who would otherwise have graduated to the first team.
Their fans have been giving it large lately about signing the likes of Maynard and Gradel for £4m each and Crouch on loan. Really really can't see how they can do that without first prioritising some of their creditors but maybe I've got it wrong.
