Despite the appeal of Cup glory and a bit of cash if we get further and draw a plum away tie, it's far more important we get out of this division and into the Championship for next season in the Amex.

Playing a second string team gives squad players a proper competitive run out, and gives Gus a better idea of what he's got in terms of options, as well as allowing him to rest some players nursing injuries etc

So: Reserves v FCUM - if we aren't good enough to beat part-timers with squad players, we don't deserve to progress anyway
First team v Pompey - good test and we'll need a quality XI to put one over our nearest south coast neighbours

Huddersfield is far more important that than FCUM or Pompey so ressies all the way for the for me. Can't afford injuries/suspensions

It's Gus's call. Probably the full reserves at FCUM.
He may like to suggest there'll be no transport back
if they lose?!
Then the best team available against Portscum.

(Bt the way, I quite like Middlesbrough!)

Really don't understand all this, surely you always put out your best side. Players can get injured just as easily in training as they can a game, yes suspension maybe a concern but that happens. Play your best team and give them an extra days rest after.

If we had put out our best in both games maybe we wouldn't of had to worry abour replays and long mid-week trips up north.

I should imaging the Chairman would quiet like a full Withdean for Pompey (if we win) and the financial returns that go with it.

Come on Gus you have to see how important the FA Cup is to the fans.

Majority of first team - bringing the fringe players on when / if we get a two goal lead. Happy for Dunk, Brezovan, Elphick and Bridcutt to start mind.

He should play a strong side, as he did against Woking twice and FC United once. If one more person claims that we played our "reserves" in any single one of our 3 FA Cup games I swear I will f***ing explode. We have put out a strong side in all 3 games!!

First team; if for no other reason they need to learn how to score goals again. And I think chopping and changing the team for any reason other than form or fitness is counter productive.
