Isn't there some rule that if the points deduction were removed and you still get relegated, then the points deduction carries over to the next season, as happened with Southampton, or is that just a Football League rule?

The administrator is a bloke called andronikou, he is a grade A wanker, was our administrator, with him at the helm i think the future looks very bleak for them.

Given that Swindon evidently survived, and with nothing like the TV income that Pompey receive, I don't follow your logic there?

Think there is a cut off, which is 1st March, which is when they were due in the High Court.

I think that was designed to stop clubs manipulating things with regard to the date they went into administration. Saints got relegated and then decided to go into administration, quite clearly trying to take the hit when it no longer mattered. But even that's open to piss taking. Stockport rather got away with it last season, by taking the penalty when they could still technically have gone down to League Two, but only if they lost their last game something like 10-0. Which, given that it was against us, if I recall, was never likely.

In Pompey's case, it's happened a lot earlier in the season, and so they'll just whack the deduction on. Despite, as you say, them being almost certain to go down anyway.

How long are they in admin for? Will the creditors get the money or will the club get it?

How long is a piece of string ?
The administrator is there to try to keep the club running whilst servicing the debts as best they can, so that parachute money should go towards paying staff and creditors whilst (in theory) they continue to search for a buyer.

If no buyer comes in (which looks likely to be the case) then eventually the club will be liquidated and the remaining assets sold off.

Andrinikou warns supporters NOT to interfere (by proxy from previous experience):

Andronikou talks about end of financial woes From Swindon Advertiser)

Message is said that Portsmouth Council must support the club in redevelopment. It might be out of the Council's hands ? It is possible that the future or non-future depends on making some dosh from developing the land next to Fratton Park and reinvesting ??? Sort of blackmail.

For once I agree with Barry Hearn

Immediate relegation (or at end of season) down either 1 or 2 divisions.

They have an FA Cup-winning record they don't deserve....one day soon their finances will probably be straightened out and they'll still be able to brag about having won the cup and spent years in the PL.

This is not right and they are indeed cheats!!!

Mates of mine have endured endless patronisation and 'banterous needling' from Pompey fans as to our inferior status and lack of a permanent home.

It ain't fair! :rant::tantrum::censored:

The football league will still have the right to refuse entry to Championship if it believes Portsmouth are unable to give guarantees of its ability to complete its fixtures. The same rules apply to any club entering the league via promotion or relegation. These rules have not been used before regarding a relegated club and at present no one from the league has mentioned it. However I would of thought that come the league management meetings in the near future there will be plenty of Chairman asking this question.

Very pleasing to hear lots of "we hate Pompey" chants on the way to The Valley last Tuesday.

Palace will always be scum #1 to us, but worth remembering that these twunts aren't far behind, and if there's any justice they'll be rattling around in this division in front of 6,000 before long. This will be most amusing, what with Southampton and ourselves both destined for better things in proper football grounds.

Well what an ENORMOUS surprise. The BBC were looking for an average Pompey fan's view on the situation and GUESS which one they found?

The utter tool (fully dressed, as one always does on a Friday morning, in stupid hat, manky wig, blue-checked waistcoat and shorts, as usual) appears to be on the verge of tears.

Here's the link if you want to watch him struggling to hold the emotions back:

Sorry, but :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

I'm obviously missing something here, I'm not clued up about the rules and stuff, but how can they be allowed to sell players outside of the window? surely the sold players would not be able to play for someone else?
