and not one of those "long suffering fans" questioned anything from the moment Rdknapp had a squad of about 60 when they brought their way out the championship

No sympathy here

We're all in it together us "footie fans" it's not our fault, we're just like you we are blah blah blah.

f*** OFF, I HOPE YOU GO BUST YOU CHEATING POMPEY GOON.

Cue some happy soul damning 'anybody who wants to see a club go out of business'.

However, my sentiments exactly. That FA Cup doesn't mean that much now.

Liam Lawrence and Dave Kitson are two signings Champions League-placed Blackpool can only dream about (and they're due a minimum £88million for their Prem experience)...

Exactly my thoughts. It's insane when a fiscally-sound (relative terms, of course) club in the PREMIERSHIP can't even think to sign these two, and bankrupt-to-the-bollocks Pompey picks them up in a double bagger.

Speechless. And more than a bit angry.

Good God!,....anyone would think it was me behind fiddling the taxman!
Calling the shots with the administrators, making commercial decisions within the club and the like?
Well it aint!, I can assure you were not happy about the situation either! Not all of us are like that westwood idiot, most pompey fans call him a tosser as much as the rest of the footballing world.
Were not proud of how our affairs are being handled, or the direction the club seems to be going.
A couple of you seem to be talking sense, but most of you cant get beyond the red mist FFS!
Comments about the policing at the ground i fully agree with, the stewards all have flea's up their arses and probably work as car park attendants during the week in Lewes!
It's a feckin mess! but through the incomputance of others we now find ourslves up shit creek without a paddle!
I aint looking for support from this site, I enjoy some decent banter and i have a lot of buddies in sussex! but if any of you are out of primary school you will remember the day when both our clubs were in trouble, we all marched with buckets and protested how money was taking the game away, some 15 plus years ago.
I seriously hope we drop down another league where i can get my saturday, 3pm football back, enjoy away travel, without all the ticket hassle's and see a team built up of local talent that includes no foreign players what so ever!
I think we can all agree to that one?

When you we're millions in debt and knew trouble was around the corner what did you do?
If the fans are seriously fu$ked off then why not do a massive protest to stop all this shite?

Fact is by spending hideous amounts of money you have seriously cheated many fans and clubs by playing in two cup finals and years in the prem.

Joke club and should fold:mad:

Nothing personal but christ its unbelievable

Yet you can still sign players and pay them a £1million salary

Don't expect any sympathy from us. You talk about "red mist" but its hardly surprising really when we have had to endure years of living within our means and we see you doing this just weeks after the administrators moved in and you robbed the local businesses of their dues.

Even with our new stadium on the way and a steady ship I doubt any of our players get a quarter of the wages Kitson's getting :tantrum:

If Pompey get themselves in financial difficulties this season and end up relegated the FA/FL should expel them from the top 9 divisions of the pyramid.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Just wondering who would people prefer win on Tuesday when they play Palace?
Portsmouth 1 Palarse 0 (but several players from each side get sent off following an enormous handbags-at-dawn incident and they have to play their next few games behind closed doors

And there we see on the horizon the once proud football club known as Portsmouth or Pompey travelling swiftly to hell in a cart powered by hand

Those comments from Andronikou in full...

"There has been a significant change in the wage bill this season. It is something we have had to do.

"Gone are the days when extraordinary pay packets put this club in financial trouble.

"Nowadays we are looking at a budget of £13-15m this season and around £10m for next season if we retain our Championship status.

"However, in the cases of Kitson and Lawrence, we have had to push the boat out a little.

"Their wages are £19,000s and £20,000s but it is something we are comfortable with.

"As long as our overall wage bill averages out at £10,000 a week then I am happy - and it still does.

"Obviously we would rather bring in players on £8-9,000 but there is obviously going to be exceptions to the rules."

Ineffective

Andronikou admits there was a desperate need for attacking reinforcements at Fratton Park and is pleased to have assisted his manager in landing a couple of transfer targets.

"In this case, Steve Cotterill wanted these players at this club so we made sure we helped him obtain them," explained the administrator.

"The team have had no forward player other than David Nugent and John Utaka, who have been pretty much ineffective.

"Players have departed but we can't keep cutting and cutting and cutting otherwise there is not a team.

"There is always an exception to the rule and in this case we have brought in two players the manager really wanted."

f***ing.
Obscene.

They are utter scheisse-haus, they really are.

Words fail me (well they don't, but the one that springs to mind is one a lady should never use).

What if our manager "really wanted" Torres and David Villa? Does that mean we could justify paying them?

TWUNTS.

(that was my politer version)

Irrespective of the new players, the fact that a business just out of administration paying it's creditors pittance gets away with paying an average salary of half a million is unbelievable.

More than twice as much as the Prime minister earns? Five times as much in that SHIT Kitson's case?

Sometimes football makes me sick :nono:

Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this but the Premiership is "softening" somewhat to the idea of a wage cap.

Some cynical commentators have suggested it's a way of certain teams in the Premiership retaining their status. If you have been settled up there for a few seasons, but always in danger of relegation, it's a nice way of stopping some Championship upstart coming up and splashing cash around their first season.

I picked that up off a Pompey forum. The thread itself had dropped like a stone. And do you know what their fans were debating ?

The obscene contracts still being given to average players ? No.
The piss being ripped out of creditors who are now getting 20p in the pound ? No.
The fact that, unbelievably, they've broken their wage structure within WEEKS of coming out of administration ? No.

Its Andronikou, making comments about players performances (Nugent and Utaka) when its "not his place". FFS.

They really, REALLY don't get it, do they ?

What is your obsession with Pompey FC? They are out of administration now and if they were to fall waywards again i'm sure the club will be crushed into oblivion.
Can't they move forwards again? There debts have been cleared or on the verge of it.
Don't worry yourself or get involved in other clubs matters.
