Portsmouth admit breaking wage cap for Stoke duo | Premiership News | tribalfootball.com

Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou admits they have already broken their self-imposed wage limit by paying new signings Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence around £20,000 a week.

Andronikou pledged to put in place a £10,000 a week wage limit following relegation and an agreement to pay creditors at the rate of 20p in the pound owed.

But Andronikou said: "We have had to push out the boat for Kitson and Lawrence.

"Their wages are £19,000 and £20,000 but it was something we are comfortable with.

"Gone are the days when extraordinary pay packets put the club in financial trouble.''

I'll go for a 0 - 0 draw in the Palace Pompey game on Tue please. Ideally with a few injuries and sending offs .

How can Pompey get away with this ?

Why are the fans not going mad about this ?

did he really say that? how come? oh yes, because you can just go into administration and write off all the debts.

Liam Lawrence and Dave Kitson are two signings Champions League-placed Blackpool can only dream about (and they're due a minimum £88million for their Prem experience)...

I seem to remember there was some noise about a challenge to Andronikou, when he was appointed as the Administrator, but it all went quiet. I recall checking and he was involved with several other clubs in administration and I couldn't see what the angle was. This sort of behaviour is probably legal, but hardly responsible.

Utter, utter CHEATS.

And completely shameless with it.

What a total shithouse of a football club they are. Their fans should feel embarrassed to support them, the thieving scumbags.

You and I pay our taxes so those TWUNTS can pay that talentless orange gimp Dave Kitson twenty grand a week??

Its bloody annoying but what powers do we have to stop it? Unfortunately until some in charge has the balls to say NO this will keep happening over and over again in football.

The fact that they only have to pay back 0.20p in every pound is bloody disgusting in the first place, and like many other people have said Portsmouth have hit a new low.
