The problem is that we don't have an obvious noise which indicates that (a) you think jeering another country's anthem is just a bit of pantomime fun, and (b) you're not some nationalist, Sun-reading moron. Or maybe those two are mutually exclusive...?

Isn't it funny that you just know the people who are going to vote "Good". Massively in the minority, exactly where they like to be.

How many of those who boo do you actually think go to pantomimes?

Instead of shouting 'man on' do they shout 'he's behind you' ??

To go with the similarly titled thread

Where's the 'It registers as zero on my couldn't-give-a-shit meter' option ? Neither bad, nor good, nor am I on the fence. If you're going to do a poll at least do it properly !!!!

Bad, but only 4/10 bad. That said, I like the 'whoooooa, you're SHIT... ARGHH ....ARGHHHH' for goal kicks, so my opinion is worthless.

Can't say this is something that bothers me either way. There has to be consistency though. If you're going to boo an opposition anthem then you've got to be accepting of Johnny Foreigner booing The Queen (Gawd Bless 'Er).

I think it shows absolutely no class.

However if we played Tuvalu, who had adopted Black Lace's 'Agadoo' as their national anthem... I'd boo it. :hilton:

Been to plenty of England away games where the noise from the jonny foreigner `sun-reading morons` during our National anthem is loud whistling rather than booing.
Perhaps England fans need whistling lessons.
Def in the camp of zero f@cks given about booing (or whistling) national anthems at a football match.

I'll try and remember to put an option on all future polls of 'whatever Westdene Seagull thinks on this particular matter'.

If it registers on my couldn't-give-a-shit meter

Used to love a bit of whistling Roger Whittaker - maybe could be a new use for the England band...

it takes 374 muscles to whistle and only 14 to boo......just saying.......not sure if whistling and copious amounts of stella or kronumberg are mutually conducive either...

Good point. We used to be good at whistling - where has this skill gone??

In fact, the modern version sounds quite tame compared to back then.
