Given your avatar, you might not agree with the other bit -- ie, US soloists/singer-songwriters are better than UK ones. You're probably right on The Beatles, although for me there's a band that clearly eclipses them now and I love The Beatles

Do you mean the USA, north America ot the Americas? All a moot point as it is clearly between Neil Young with any backing band or Bob Dylan and the Band.

I think I have misunderstood here. I assumed the polls would be for the BEST American band, no ?
